Your lack of intelligence does not surprise me! Nor does the fact that your immediate response to someone voicing an opinion (good, bad or indifferent) that doesn't align with yours, must mean that they're intellectually challenged with a predisposition to suicide!

I was just stirring because it looks just like every other 300ZX on the road, a rushed under cooked wedge looking thing suppose to hold a candle to the other sports cars of its era!

I was stirring shit! So consider yourself "a piece of shit" and consider yourself "stirred"! :laughing-smiley-014:

Stirring shite is for the wasteland. This is a legit post and there's no need to crap in it like that.

Blitz.....what happened to yours that made it such a mistake?

haha Get Angry son! :)

Dont get me started.

The list of problems was long but distinguished.

whoa there people, calm down, no need to start another fight here. Whether or not you like it or not it's totally up to you guys, no need to start a fight with each other.......and on that note.............I STILL LOVE 300ZX!!!! that is all

I owned a series 2 R33, swapped it for a 300zx with a few mods. I have regretted it every day since. The car costs heaps every time something minor goes wrong (which is monthly) the engine bay is so cramped that i tore 75% of my hands off changing radiator hoses and no matter how much car i take with it something new goes wrong.

I suggest to those who are considering a zed, mkae sure you have PLENTY of patience!!!

But to stay on topic with this thread that white zed did look quite tidy.

They arnt exactly the easiest cars to work on.

Simple things such as a spark plug change require the engine to be pulled.

LOL,

U probly heard it of some 1 huh?

they spark plugs was on top!

no need to pull engine...LOL

I had 1, I could called myself lucky, never have any major problems since 2 yrs of ownership!

the 300zx cockpit feel like a true sport car, if u ever sit in 1.

skyline, i feel its like a family car.

and the torque, omg, the torque!

hard to find a good clean 300zx, but if u found 1, U gona love it to dead!

I sat in my friend's 300z a while back, was bloody awesome.

Back then I didn't know much about cars, and he had a full veilside kit with a massive exhaust. I thought it was a super car of some sort.

Nice car.

They aren't that bad to work on geeezuz. I have one and enjoy working on it you pansies :P

I'll go with Lysergic on this one! Alot of what you guys hear about the 300ZX is BULL$%T urban myth. Any import (Zed or otherwise) that hasnt been taken care of, rolled off the boat and driven will give troubles and overheat.

Yes I am biased as I own one, but its been the best car I have ever owned. I race the thing (club, hillclimb, supersprints etc) and drive it hard regularly and it gives few drama's (only minor ones you expect from a hard driven car).

They can be awkward to work on but most of the normal maintenance shit is as easy as a Skyline. Turbo changes are a bitch but hey thats what you pay for an awesome handling and low slung package. They can be made to handle extremely well with little money and are a dream to drive.

Dream garage one day will be Z32 and R32, what great packages.

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
