 Hey I went car hunting today down Parra Road, was looking at 34s and the odd 33. Im wondering what your opinions are on the 34s and what price you would pay for a stock standard one and one with a bit of mods done to it (exhaust, rims) etc.

Also what other cars are good to buy atm an they don't have to be skylines, I kind of like the Evo 6s and 7s.

Seen some in the city and they look hot.

I was also thinking of impoting a R34 but the only issue I have is it wont have warranty

(not that big of an issue)

Whats your thoughts on import pricing too.

Thanx

Jayla. :P

What you think of this there is a 33 blk manual in there for 15k its got stage one mods i was thinking to get it and go crazy on it with its mods and looks bit Im not sure if its worth doing.

What exactly are stage one mods.....

Umm dunno it stated it in an add, from my memory, exhaust, computer, turbo upgrade i think dont quote me on that but lol.

I know none of the cars ive looked at have had major mods like forgies, cams etc but if I get a stocker for the right price I can modify myself.

Very funny JOE lol, hmm since yours is being rebuilt It makes me think of how hard you have driven it LOL.. And 33GTR came to mind but Im really loving the look of the 34s at the moment.

Colour choices are Black,Yellow and consider white..

Hmmm everytime I look at the s15 I fall in love with them, i never liked them b4 and they kind of growing on me now.

Still I love my skylines and they will always have my vote.

I might go have a look at the s15 and see what its like up close.

Hi I am the same as you Jayla I am tossing up between a S15 or R34 cant really decide what I want.

I think you should just have a look around for awhile and see what comes up and make a list of things that you want in a car and then do Pros and cons on each model.

They should make a R34 Front with R33 Behind.. mmmm

Yea what Joe said get a R33 GTR :)

If id had to get another car again, id get a Stockish R33 GTR. Dont like the notion of having a modified car, as you wont be able to "learn" or "know" what has been done to it.

The pathway of modding is fun and never ending + $$$$$ lol

Thanks guys, dOOdz your right about the $$$ situation, and I guess I do need to learn about cars so if I get a stock one its more or less better for me. If i find a nice 33 GTR ill get one but i need to limit what I like.

NI 33 your right it's hard one to decide I fallen in love with S15s for now

will be a tuff decision for you and me.

Sif S15. Too urgh

Well getting a stocker will cost $$$$ to mod, prolly more than buying a modded one already. But it will be interesting.

Id get a stocker with nice rims and exhaust. Screw the body kit do that your self when the car is modified/finished modified.

OOOo I got a fully sik car which looks nice but goes as fast as the speed of my lil cousin's push bike w00t!

I was in the same boat a few months back, tossing up between r34 or s15 :)

I went the s15 simply cause they look dam sexy, less fuel than my line, but still has balls and a nissan badge.

From use to owning a r33, there is definately differences you can tell:

*s15 has abit more lag compared to the r33 setup, but then again my r33 was 211rwkw on the std turbo, and still need to PFC my s15... hehe. Some s15 such as the specr and jap specs come with the BB turbo.

*S15 came std with ABS which is always a good thing, but the r34 does too :(

*The s15 tends to have abit more in cabin rattles than the 33, but overall the s15 is still comfy inside

*Less fuel with the s15, although mine is running pretty rich at the moment, still less fuel than the r33

*Dont have to lug around passangers that want to sit in the rear in the s15.. they look at the space and realise they rather take the bus :( haha...

*The rear end of the s15 is dam light compared to a 33 or 34... so watch out when it gets wet, but the rear feels heaps more controllable than the 33 did...

*Less spark plugs to purchase when im doing a plug change :( less hassle too as the piping going to the intake on the rb25 can be a hassle for plug changes

*S15's have that annoying VCT rattle when you start up sometimes for about 20secs... sounds gay, but you learn to live with it....

Finally, ive attatched a pic of my s15 for reference and how low it sits :(

    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
