The 240rs stageas came with rb26 already in them (stock).. Otherwise most of them are rb25s..

AHahh once you buy an import, you not gonna stop with the mods list. It goes on and on and your temptation will be overturned with new mods each month!!

All the best tho..

260RS Stageas had the rb26

all the rest had rb25s as you said

theres no such thing as a 240RS

I agree with the rest, go the R34 GT-T.

Doesn't go as hard as a GTR or RZ, but it looks awesome, is practical, cheaper to run and won't break. Therefore, you won't have to pour money into it. Tough choice though.

I dont really care about trying to beat GTRs and stuff, im over 1/4 mile action!! Of course at the lights its always fun to have a squirt just to see how u go, but then again these days u have to be careful.

Thanks for the advice anyway everyone.. Much appreciated! I'm really falling for the 34 GT-T, not real keen on a 33.. Unless its a GTR, but anyway lets not go there!!

Andrew I'll be waiting for that ride!!!!

R34 GTT's are hot, no doubt. Good value to.

You can pick up a RS260 for around 33-39k, full GTR Autech Stagea, Rb26dett manual, 4wd, full gtr suspn etc. Awesome. A GTR with 5-doors, room for the family.

Or a RS4 Stagea, Rb25det auto or manual or tiptronic (Series2), 4wd, gtr front suspn gtst rear suspn, etc. Series1's or 2's for 12-20k. Nice. :( A true stealth wagon, no trouble with the law, & very responsive to mods. Or no mods - your car your choice.

My choice is to mod!

R34GTt is a nice car but don't have a lend of yourself thinking you can beat a R32GTR.

R32 is around the same weight, more powerful and is 4 wheel drive. Maybe the person driving the R32 GTR that you say you beat, didn't care if you passed them.

My friend both cars have 280hp my car in fact is a bit lighter and has about the same amount of torque if not a bit more then an r32 gtr. so its compleatly possible for my car to beet the r32 considering the age of the r32 its very possible.

as for him being happy to see me fly by the case was this we were both in 3rd at 100km the front of his car was at my left side mirror all the way from 3 to finish.

I know that now i am going to be eaten alive for talking about this on this forum but dont think that the gtr is unbeetable

BY the way my car stock only 3 inch cat-back and a pod filter the gtr stock.

I love the GTR more then any other car outhere including ferrari lambo and so on

i hope that one day i will be able to get one>

Here we go again...

I agree totally, if you buy a good, well cared for R32 gtr, it won't cost you a heap of cash to maintain. It's only when you get the BUG and start improving it or upgrading things, when costs start to soar, as with any car.

What do you expect when you buy a early R32 gtr for 20K or less? Remember how much they were new???

It will not be in mint condition so budget at least 5K for turbos, suspension and other wear items. Those old ceramic turbos could let go if boosted, and cost you lots more when you destroy your engine.

running costs are

I agree with that man totally!

Have been saying it ever since I bought my GTR a while ago. Probably the cheapest landed GTR in history. I landed mine for 15,000. I wish someone told me about the ceramic turbos which destroy engines... I found out the hard way only a few months after it landed.

Stock engines are great, just be aware of old turbos I say. You get one with healthy engine, stock or not, if its got new turbos. you'll be sweet.

Interesting thread, I'm actually probably about to now purchase a Series2 GTSt. Is it true these have steal wheels??

The series 2 R33s seem to be were its at value for money now. Hence me about to sell the S12 and jump in one.

    • I'm working on the assumption that our friend Jasmine here is a Russian (or, possibly Ukrainian) spammer/spambot, based purely on the number of such that I have been having to neuter in the last few weeks. IP address for the OP above was in WA. But that could have been via VPN. Posting at quarter to 4 in the morning is a good sign of being from somewhere in Europe. The last Jasmine that I kicked in the cooch was IP addressed in Ukraine. Even that could have been via VPN, and the bitchbot could have been from Russia, Serbia, China or anywhere. Regardless, was a spambot, so I killed it with fire. The fact that our new friend Jasmine here did not respond in any way to my tart query strongly suggests to me that this OP was just the establishment phase of a user able to be activated for spamming in a week, or 3 or 10.
    • The stock manifold is "mostly" divided. The divider actually has a notch cut out of it where it would meet the divider on a twin scroll housing. I have no idea why. But whatever the reason, it would cause some cross talk when used with a twin scroll housing. People do put twin scroll housings onto that manifold. But I'm of the opinion that proper twin scroll internal gating is...not really possible at this scale. You'd be throwing good effort (ie $$) after bad, when you really should be doing something else. Notwithstanding that.... I am not sure what the idea that you are floating has to do with the difference in comp cover position caused by the highflow using a shorter length core than the stock Hitachi one. Can you clarify what you meant?
