To put it briefly, a few wires running from the siren to the main unit was damaged and then the siren went off. So I turned off the siren with the key and resoldered all the wiring. However when I turn the siren back on, it keeps goin off. I can't seem to do anything about it. What should i do? Is there a way to reset the alarm?

On a side note, the alarm is fully functional apart from the siren issue and the alarm is a Mongoose M80

I had a similar issue the other day with my car alarm. My siren stopped working, regardless of where the key in the back was turned. So i bought a new Black Widow battery back up siren. Installed it and wired it up, turned the key in the back and it just went off constantley. I spent several hours and almost lost my hearing trying to figure out what i did wrong, before giving up. An alarm guy came and fixed it for me, apparently the siren had shorted out, and was now faulty. i:e even when fed 12volts it would still go off. So he had to install another new siren.

Cheers
