Just got my GTR from compliance last week so i thought i'd share a couple of pics i took the morning after getting home. I'm pretty impressed with car. Is much quicker than i expected a stock GTR to be and I was suprised how different the gearing is from my old GTS-t.

Look cool!! you will have to come down from rocky for the next gtr cruise!

Nice, very nice.

It shits me how people can think that 32 GTRs look better than the 33 GTRs.

It probably shits them that you think a R33 looks better

Im like Tom...all GTRs are hot! Nice looking example

ive always liked the 32 shape, but bcoz of the age, id go the 33,34, and even a V35 if i could afford one of the above. nice car though. i swear i saw your plates down here on the sunny coast like 2 years ago. was your old car white or yellow, cant remember??

nice car mate looks very clean.

if you dont mind me asking how much did it cost you get a a series 3 in that condition over and complied.

sorry to be nosey its just i have a r34gtt at the moment and i was thinking of selling and getting a series 3 gtr, but i dont really want to buy one here i will probably import myself.

also did you import yours yourself? would you do it for me for a fee ofcourse?or who did you go through to import?

any help would be muchly appreciated.

I'd also like to know as i'm in the same boat as wanting to knows the costs and hassles, also who you imported it through would be great if ya dont mind aswell.

Btw, sweeet ride! Go the GT-R's!

I went through an import broker for mine. Was a bit of hassle, but nothing too serious, just mainly time consuming. My compliancer helped me out heaps though, so that made things much less stressful :D - was still stressful at times though. As for costs I'd allow around mid to high 40s for a car on th road and ignore the estimated prices, their usually way off.. Vspecs were slightly more again .

Yeah for the money i think the R33 GTR Series 2 or 3 are the better buys in the GTR family these days...

However the V35 is getting quite tempting to me... Specially cause HKS make a twin turbo kit for it.... Yum...

    • Sorry I haven't been following all the detail, so you may have tried this. Does it idle with the tiniest bit of throttle you can add? You've mentioned the IACV, does it have an AAC valve and have you adjusted it at all (ie, screw the idle adjust screw all the way in, then back it out a couple of turns until idle is stable)?
    • My bad, I unplugged the one underlined in red instead of yellow before. With the car started, after unplugging the IACV (the one underlined in yellow), it idled at around 400/500 for 3 seconds before stalling. Attempting to start the car without the IACV will not start the car.   It does stutter and sputter for around 5 seconds before dying. However, immediately after starting it, you can already hear some slight sputters from the exhaust.   It won't start with the AFM unplugged. If it is when the car has already started, it stalls in a few seconds.   Yesterday, I did take some logs using Nistune of 3 scenarios. Car idling till it stalls Car idling and unplugging the IACV Car idling and removing the AFM I also have some previous logs of when the Car is idling till it stalls and when driving and it cuts. I am not really knowledgeable enough to understand what to look for. After every test, car idles rougher and rougher, until I have to stop. It will be fine the day after.
    • There is no difference between a 17x8 and an 18x8. The total diameter of the tyre needs to remain +/- the same (so you don't mess up the gearing, speedo reading, and clearance when turning front wheels..... so you just need to use a lower profile tyre on th 18 than you do on the 17. /rocket surgery.
    • I thought the same to start with. But then I thought it was one of those LCAs where the end of the ARB goes through a bushing in the LCA itself, instead of having an end link.
    • Yeah - I mean, go the other way. Smaller range. Not larger.
