Maybe don't beleive everything you heard from the car salesman, as far as I know R34 are still getting auctioned, please correct me if i am wrong.

Many people on this website have subscribed to a Japanese Importer called Geoff Risbey he is located in Perth but has Japanese contact, he is a auto importer for people such as us. About every 2 mornings we get a listing of cars that have come up for auction and if you are interested you pay a small fee and bid for it. I have not read to date anything about the stoppage on R34's

The only changes i have seen of late is that heavily modified cars can't come in only ones with VERY light or no mods are allowed into the country, if you do like a modified looking car and want to buy it well then you have to get a certificate to say that all the mods were destroyed before importation into Aus!

Why is the R34 too dangerous as you mentioned????

Still all in all $38,000 for a R34 well mate i would be happy paying that, how many kms on it? auto or manual? good proce though if you ask me :-)

Oh and welcome to the family!

25GTT, I think he ment too dangerous as far as getting one in under the old rules, if it's not done by the cut-off date then it gets scrapped.

I'm sure the R34's will be eligible under the new RAWS as the main requirement they have to meet is power to weight:D

See'ya:burnout:

38k is reasonable price for an R34.

Got 42 for mine but it had 15k worth of gear on it.

Joe Crisfario had a black one they would have accepted $34k for.

If you haven't signed already screw them as hard as possible as the R34's are harder to sell due to most finance company's wanting a much larger deposit plus the cost of insuring them is high.

Cheers

Yeah, I know but I've search around Perth for R34 they cost like $39000 plus, there is one cost $47000

Mine is black with 28k km manual no mods at all, They really try to ripped me off, So i ask for cd stackers and best alarm system also 3 years warranty , w/o stamp duty -_-,

Btw now I'm scared about insurance. Is it true it might cost u around 3k for 20 years old guy?

Cheerz Mate Skyline live Forever

ps: Mine with Nismo alloy, the design a bit dodgy.

Check this before you buy the car.

It's simple, if you can't afford the insurance, you can't afford the car.

Doing a search will bring you up some good results but you could try the following :-

Famous Classic Car Insurance (Looking around two - three grand p/a)

HBF (No idea on price, but you need previous business with them I think)

Shannons (These guys may do it as they are a prestige centre)

I also think SGIO are getting back into it but I can't confirm that..

Hope that helps

Josh

*Smack* please don't tell me the dealer tried to sell you some special paint protection thing for extra $$$$?? All you really need is a BUff Cut and Polish about once every say 6 months and then a polish once a month that will work fine, that is all i do to mine and the paint is in A1 perfect condition, still with showroom glaze to it!

SHUTO Boy: I saw that R34 as well wanted about 45k for it! was very nice though and well looked after with nice kit and mags! it has since been sold don't mind white but would have looked nice in black or red me thinks, i am a bit past the yellow stage and aren't a big fan of yellow but one of the guys here called Franks in the eastern states has one of the nicest looking R34's i have seen in my life! and it is yellow....

eriktufa: dude, i still don't know why you keep saying that it is hard to import R34, i still have not read anything about R34's being let into aus, the only restrictions that i have seen under the new imports scheme so far is basically no mods are allowed to come into Aus and must be scrappped! If someone has seen otherwise please show me where you got the info from as i have no info on r34's not being let it, i think that maybe the salesman said that to you so you would buy it. Price of imports willl be going up and mods will not be allowed that is all i have read so far, Why would they specifically be targetting R34's when 33 GTR have the same power output??

    • Guys since i bought r33 gts25t coupe 1994 automatic a/t(manual swap 350z gearbox)  all i got is problems, always problems. Lets start with that when i turn key into ignition(ON) fuel pump doesnt always works. Sometimes i have to turn key twice Off/on/off/on until it primes. Its new, dw300 - 340lph. My gearbox broke so i did gearbox swap, install different intake manifold, injectors and i take pipes. Car was sitting in garage for more than half a year. I did assembly all not that long ago and when i turn ignition cant hear prime. All of sudden it stopped working. Theres many videos on YouTube how to make relay mod on r33 straight from battery so i did and it doesnt work! 😰 30 - battery positive  87 - positive from fuel pump to relay 85, 86 - one of two wires from original fuel pump wires(light blue, grey) and it didn’t work. so I check on ignition and took original BLUE relays wires from trunk, next to fuses. (I believe it’s IGN+ and ECU pin 18. it didn’t work…  tried connecting (IGN+ from og relay) and (ECU 104 from 1of4 FPCM wires) to my new relay 85/86 and it didn’t work.  I unplug FPCM. Didn’t work. im thinking what’s wrong   fuel pump is working, if I leave IGN+ on 85 and 86 straight to ground it works but it’s just nonstop. Since it getting constant 12v after key in ON. light blue wire gives me 6-8v.  so how this should be connected? What causing ECU not giving — on pin? Or I did sth wrong and that’s why it doesn’t work? I need negative signal on ECU that control fuel pump. What this should be?
    • You can use your VIN to look up the factory part number somewhere like amayama, and then look to order new if necessary. https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/nissan Depending on price you might want to rebuild instead. @GTSBoy I had an interesting insight into US market parts when the Titan rear calipers were sticking. New calipers were dirt cheap, about 20% more than a rebuild kit....they are just considered throw away maintenance items
    • Funny, but really not funny. Thank god (most) f the world has moved on since then
    • Lots of votes for driving onto a plank first; that is the quickest way I've found, 25mm is enough for my case but that will vary by car It also depends where you are going for. On the 32 I can get to the rear diff with my floor jack if I do that end first, and get it up on stands. Then I lift the front from either front tow hook as high as needed, also onto stands. Sometimes I need a small lift on the other tow hook to get it level enough If I do the front first I can't get to the rear diff because of the angle of the car Other options are getting to the front mount of the rear subframe from in front of the wheel (if only lifting one side, or just do both which is a bit of a pain compared to one lift from the diff), or also the gearbox cross member mount on the driver's side if you are  just trying to lift the driver's side. I This is the jack I use; it says 75mm clearance but of course that is only on the lower section so if you have to reach too far in like the diff you still get stuck. https://www.snapon-bluepoint.com.sg/category/Floor-Jacks/product/Floor-Jack,-2-Ton-Low-Profile
