Hi Fellow Stagea owners

Was looking for something on my computer today and found a word document full of Stagea web site links that I compiled over 2 years ago I thought what better to do with them than share them with fellow Stagea owners. You may want to use a translator like Google Translator or Babelfish unless your fluent in Japanese

Enjoy Some May be relevant some wont.

What are our chances of joining SWAT??

I reckon a sticker like this would look great, all-be-it maybe not this big!! :)

OMFG That is a drift wing ON TOP of a stocker wing...... :)

I still think one of these these pointing to the Stagea section of SAu ftw:

Too bad Nissan owns www.stagea.com, some person in Nagoya, Aichi, Tokyo, Japan, owns www.stagea.org and some person in Kanagawaku, yokohama, Japan owns www.stagea.net.

Hmmm just saw that all these are available though:

WWW.STAGEA.COM.AU AU$65

WWW.STAGEA.NET.AU AU$65

WWW.STAGEA.ORG.AU AU$20

I have already chatted to PranK about it and he was happy with it, but wanted stagea.com, so anyone want to do this? I dont know how to setup a forwarder or anything like that, but it cant be hard.....? I dont have a credit card either...

Yeah a bit long, I want something that will fit across the top of the rear windscreen in about 50mm tall font, so something that wont be squished, meh wanted something for a long time, just never got around to doing anything about it.... :)

Personally I think .net.au or .org.au is better, .com.au dont you need a business to get one.....?

Yeah but when you are driving past someone, they only have maybe 10-30secs to see the sticker and try to remember it.

I had "SKYLINESAUSTRALIA.COM" in 50mm font on the back of my R33 when I had it and had people mention to me that they saw me, but without a couple of goes, didnt get the full address.

Meh just my opinion. Keep it short and to the point.

Cant we just use the address prank already has registered http://www.stageasaustralia.net and change it from linking to the main page for SAU to link directly to the Stagea section

We set this one up 2 years ago when we had the articles section on the site

Yeah there is nothing stopping you from cutting stickers, I just dont like such a long address, just my personal preference for something smaller, which I was going to do something about, but because it's not really important and no one else really agrees with having yet another address point to SAu, I havent bothered to do anything about it.

I agree with you but I also think that if we are going to use an address lets do it properly. The address that we have at the moment takes you to the main SAU homepage now if you were new to the forums and were interested in Stageas after seeing one on the road and jotting down the address there is nowhere that suggests this site is a site about stageas it is all about skylines. If you do set a new address up set it to go straight to the Stagea Discussion sectionso that it is actually relevant. I know that its fine for us long timers but anyone who is new to Stgeas wouldnt have the first idea about them an most probably how to navigate the forums.

If you do go ahead and set up a new domain I vote for www.stageas.net keep it simple

    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
    • Can I suggest you try EBC directly again and link them to as many competitor catalogues as you can to show their listing is incorrect, eg https://dba.com.au/product/front-4000-series-hd-brake-rotor-dba42304/ If you have access to an R33 GTST VIN and your VIN, you could also use a Nissan Parts lookup like Amayama to show them the part number is different between 33 GTST and 34 GTT which may get their attention
    • So i got reply from EBC and they just this site where you can clearly see those 296mm fronts on R34 GTT. I send them photos and "quotes" that 296mm are not for 34 GTT and they are too small. But it will be very hard to return them cuz nobody here knows 100% and they just copy those EBC catalogue :-D https://ebcbrakesdirect.com/automotive/nissan/skyline-r34
    • Hi, is the HKS  Tower Bar still available ? negotiable ? 🤔
    • From there, it is really just test and assemble. Plug the adapter cables from the unit into the back of the screen, then the other side to the car harness. Don't forget all the other plugs too! Run the cables behind the unit and screw it back into place (4 screws) and you should now have 3 cables to run from the top screen to the android unit. I ran them along the DS of the other AV units in the gap between their backets and the console, and used some corrugated tubing on the sharp edges of the bracket so the wires were safe. Plug the centre console and lower screen in temporarily and turn the car to ACC, the AV should fire up as normal. Hold the back button for 3 sec and Android should appear on the top screen. You need to set the input to Aux for audio (more on that later). I put the unit under the AC duct in the centre console, with the wifi antenna on top of the AC duct near the shifter, the bluetooth antenna on the AC duct under the centre console The GPS unit on top of the DS to AC duct; they all seem to work OK there are are out of the way. Neat cable routing is a pain. For the drive recorder I mounted it near the rear view mirror and run the cable in the headlining, across the a pillar and then down the inside of the a pillar seal to the DS lower dash. From there it goes across and to one USB input for the unit. The second USB input is attached to the ECUtec OBD dongle and the 3rd goes to the USB bulkhead connected I added in the centre console. This is how the centre console looks "tidied" up Note I didn't install the provided speaker, didn't use the 2.5mm IPod in line or the piggyback loom for the Ipod or change any DIP switches; they seem to only be required if you need to use the Ipod input rather than the AUX input. That's it, install done, I'll follow up with a separate post on how the unit works, but in summary it retains all factory functions and inputs (so I still use my phone to the car for calls), reverse still works like factory etc.
