I know DBA have 4 stud disk rotors avaliable now :)

I don't know about the code of rotor. anyone know? if DBA released it?

for N/A Skylines you can use following Brake Pads

Bendix;

FRONT:DB 1308BS

Rear : DB 1144BS

Endless Pads

Front TD 148B

Rear TD136B

These were my old Endless pads, they are awesome stopping in any condition HOT or COLD. but it eats away Rotors and Creats bad Black Dust!

Joe

ve got a r33.

standard wheels are 205's R15

and basically measured 6.5inches wide

now, ive got 215's R17, and from the tape measure they should read 8 inchs across....yeh i found 17x8's in four stud and the wheels arent too ugly.

thing that stumped me was that, my stock and current wheels are the same width when physically lined up.

i realised the RIm on the stock was 6.5, and the tyre on it bulged out more then the rim itself, yeh the tyre was inflated properly....

that ends my stupid post for today.

There was only one ROH wheel that would fit my car apparently and it was one of those 3-piece wheels, which I don't particularly fancy.

Every shop said that the wheels wouldn't clear the calipers. I was after the Adrenalins but then I noticed everyone else already had them so it didn't matter...

  • 2 weeks later...

Just replaced my brake pads with bendix premiums and machined the disc down to a shiny finish.

Compared to the pad when i first had the car, the bendix dont have a sudden and sharp bite, but seem to do an okay job so far. Im still in the process of wearing the pads in a bit. They smell a abit though.

They what now? I went to Bob Jane, first and last. When I started, the guy didnt know for sure, so he called ROH and asked.

Even checked on stock levels, and I had my wheels that day fitted. They miss the calipers by a clear inch in any direction.

Might pay to talk to the wheel guys direct if you can

  • 4 years later...

Hi guys and girls, i got a mint set of 4 stud tyres from Speed dreamz (not in operation anymore) for my R33 N/A. They came from tempe tyres in sysdney (i think) and they in turn got them from USA. Im positive that the stud pattern was created here in adelaide......or sydney as they stuffed up the alignment initially and said they had to go back for re-drilling. Whole process from asking to buy the rims to having them on my car (correctly) took about 2 months. So long story short if your happy to wait a while there is decent range out there if you just ask.

Kind regards, Evan

Woah back from 03!

i was going to get a set of deep Dish ones i liked from tempe but somebody said somewhere that they are of crap quality and are heavy.. anyone want to share their opinions? or a good japanese wheel site that do the 4 stud rims?

  • 1 month later...

    • Ahhh, I need the whole head unit. I definitely needed to roll back through and review your setup, ha ha! Neat setup they have going on. I just need a full double din head unit. But I want good and responsive. I might have to review what the likes of pioneer have out these days.
    • Ok so after much research and talking with knowledgeable people I've got my turbo conversion done and it's all running great other than 1 small issue.  Car has remained auto with the na auto and tcm, I've used a stagea ecu with. NIstune board and everything is great other than my gear selection on the dash. It illuminates park, reverse, neutral, 3rd and 2nd. But nothing drive or what gear your in when you pop it into tiptronic.  I'm sure there is may e 1 wire in the ecu plug I need to move to rectify this. Dose anyone here have any ideas?   Cheers guys
    • Sorry I haven't been following all the detail, so you may have tried this. Does it idle with the tiniest bit of throttle you can add? You've mentioned the IACV, does it have an AAC valve and have you adjusted it at all (ie, screw the idle adjust screw all the way in, then back it out a couple of turns until idle is stable)?
    • My bad, I unplugged the one underlined in red instead of yellow before. With the car started, after unplugging the IACV (the one underlined in yellow), it idled at around 400/500 for 3 seconds before stalling. Attempting to start the car without the IACV will not start the car.   It does stutter and sputter for around 5 seconds before dying. However, immediately after starting it, you can already hear some slight sputters from the exhaust.   It won't start with the AFM unplugged. If it is when the car has already started, it stalls in a few seconds.   Yesterday, I did take some logs using Nistune of 3 scenarios. Car idling till it stalls Car idling and unplugging the IACV Car idling and removing the AFM I also have some previous logs of when the Car is idling till it stalls and when driving and it cuts. I am not really knowledgeable enough to understand what to look for. After every test, car idles rougher and rougher, until I have to stop. It will be fine the day after.
    • There is no difference between a 17x8 and an 18x8. The total diameter of the tyre needs to remain +/- the same (so you don't mess up the gearing, speedo reading, and clearance when turning front wheels..... so you just need to use a lower profile tyre on th 18 than you do on the 17. /rocket surgery.
