Sorry to hear about that ODessA,

I have been defected several times, at one stage i was driving around with two stickers on my car. I live in a small town, there are about 10 skylines and at any one stage there are 2 defected for trivial reasons.

The fact of the matter is people gave the car a bad name, whenever you hear on the news that people were killed in a street race and one of the offending vehicles was a skyline the cops have a field day.

I have come to terms that everytime i drive my car i have a chance to be defected, it has got to the stage where my friends that do own high performance cars have said they are that fed up that they will not pull over, and that scares me!

You will always meet a pain in the a$$ cop when you get pulled over but i have just learnt to deal with it, just keep my mouth shut and take it on the chin.

The fact of the matter is the Police dont enforce the law, they are the law and they are all well aware of it.

HAHA! Not for much longer, I just sent them an email.

LOL

ODESSA - Seriously Call the customer line as I said earlier and calmly and politely say you'd like to make a complaint. Find the link I posted and do it in writing! Submit your written statement and your passengers as SK said. It's actually a part of police obligation to identify themselves properly. You shouldn't have to have a phantom copper - this isn't Russia where you have FSB running around, although it will become it if the general public let it.

So please - go lodge a complaint.

YEAH I f*kKING GOT DEFECTED ON THE 10TH 2

POD

Tires

WINDOW tint !!!!!

They had a f*kking window tint meter

Both ot them were walking around with hard ons pointing sh!t out to eachother

Least they had a good time

window tint meter???! wtf, how does it work? whats it look like?

>window tint meter???! wtf, how does it work? whats it look like?

if it's anything like the ones at the act rego inspection, it's a card with different gradients of shading. they hold it up against the window and can tell how much light gets through. they may have an electronic equivalent.

Haha, when i was with my mate in his 32 when he got defected thats exactly what they were like. They issued 2 fines, after one cop gave the first fine the other cop says "aaaand whats the bonus you have for him johnny...." then they gave the 2nd fine (he spoke like the guy from price is right... come on down!!!!!

I have been pulled over once in my 32, which was stock bar exhaust and pod.. and the cop was like has it got a bov, and i said ofcourse, from the factory. He looked back in puzzlement thinking i was pulling the wool over his eyes...then asked me to pop the bonnet where i pointed it out to him. Then got me to rev to 3,000rpm while he listened at the back, but i had a new turbo back exhaust which is quiet as... then sent me on my way..

And since when are gauges a defect? unless they are incorporated into the a pillar, but it doesnt sound like yours is ODessA. Also duno bout nsw but in vic having a pod and fronut mount together is illegal, u can only have one form or modified induction i think is the basic rule, so duno how you got defected for pod and defected for fr mount, its either one or other, if u remove pod and put standrd air box then its ok to have fr mount....:s

odessa u gotta be kidding me right!!!

u outa this easy!!.....

this is the biggest bullshit story i have heard!!!

u have soooooo many crosses against them its not funny

talk about inconsistencies!

once there is one f**k up on their paperwork ...its clear evidence to use against for all defects written to also be inconsistancies!

defects that wernt defects

wrong station number

officer that doesnt exist

defects given without the proper equipment

smart ass remarks

f**k id be taking thm to the playpen and teaching the bitch to behave herself and get down off her high horse ....stupid wench!!

f**k id be taking thm to the playpen and teaching the bitch to behave herself and get down off her high horse ....stupid wench!!

wench: noun

-A young woman or girl, especially a peasant girl.

-A woman servant.

-A wanton woman.

haha what a great word.

hehe the bitch was a nightmare, i would rather have mike myers from halloween walking after me, white mask and all.

Hang on... is your car on the system as being defective? If it's not, rip that f*cking sticker off and don't worry about it... seriously.

Mate i've been through what you're going through, and the cops have to do just as much work to have your car in the system as defective as what you do getting it up to WR standards. (well sorta : ) Anyway my point is, check again with the cops or RTA and see if your car has actually been registered as defective and go from there.

As savage bliss said, if the defect is not in the system, rip the sticker off and don't worry about it.

I had a semi-similar thing happen to me. Got booked by a cop for exiting a roundabout incorrectly and not indicating. $90 dollar fine. Ripped the thing up immediately in anger, so I didn't have the account details to be able to pay it. So had to call the department of transport to inquire who I should make to payment to, and how I should go about it. The woman on the phone told me it was not on record and that I should go to the local police station where i was booked, and get them to re issue the fine. I politely replied with "f**k that" and promptly hung up on her. Decided not to worry about it. This is over a year ago, and the fine never came.

i got defected in my r33 a few weeks ago in epping (vic)have to pass an EPA test now too :(

reasons were POD, intercooler, too low (he lifted the thing they test the height with up so it would hit the bottom of the car) aftermarket BOV. it was a factory bov and i tried to show him that it was standard and plumb back he wasnt interested. boost controller and drivers seat its a gtr seat.?oh and a missing wheel nut i had no idea i was missing a wheel nut so he slapped a major defect on it i couldnt drive it unless i got a wheel nut.And a fine for unroadworth vehicle... so i walk over to the wheel shop across the road. i walk in the shop and the owner says hey just saw you get pulled over you got a defect hey, i said yeah why he said go out the front and have a look at the chick sitting on the rock near the round about shes a cop telling the cops in the cars what to pull over... i get a wheel nut from the shop and go up to the chick sitting on the rock i see her grab a cb handset thing from her jacket and say lowered lancer heading in this direction and she stated the time etc so i ask her what shes doing she replys counting cars and showed me a list (there were about 10 cars on it) i said well you havent counted many. i said your a cop arent you she said if you know whats good for you, you will leave now so i did has any one seen that shit before? sorry for the long post lol

Shocker of a story mate! Hard to belive someone could be so much of a bitch! Maybe you f**ked her daughter or something? heheh

If I were you i'd fight that all the way. Can let them walk on us like that.

Goodluck.

    • GCG is a good company, they're a major distributor for Garrett in Japan as well.
    • Nah, OEM washer bottle and brake fluid reservoirs are fine I don't know what it is with the plastic that Mazda used, some plastics, like the washer bottle and brake fluid res are fine, and still look new after 20 years use, where as the coolant expansion tank, and PS reservoir, that I replaced with new OEM items when I first got the car, turned yellow and started getting brittle a few years later If the dirty yellow stained plastics didn't trigger me there wouldn't be an issue, but they did, much like the battery bracket....... Meh As for going back to work full time to support car stuff, nope, why, because I own a Mazda NC MX5, not a Nissan R series Skyline 🤣
    • I've never heard of CJ-motor, so can't advise you on them. I'd just go straight to GCG for a GCG highflow though. Seems no point to use a middleman. I'm somewhat surprised that the price on the CJ site is lower than the GCG retail price. Even though CJ would get a discount of some sort, you would hardly expect them to give up so much margin. Maybe the price is out of date? Having said that "I'd go to GCG"...when I did my highflow, I went to Hypergear. I did this https://hypergearturbos.com/product/rb25dethighflow/#tab-dyno-results with the R34 OP6 450HP profile. With the BB centre (extra $400) and intially with the standard boost actuator, but I eventually got him to send me the high pressure one when I got to the point of being able to actually use it. Ends up costing the same sort of money as the GCG highflow, but this is, of course, the turbo that I KNOW has a shorter length core and so moves the comp cover rearwards. The GCG apparently doesn't do that. My mechanic also swears by the GCG highflow, given that we have another turbo rebuilder who does something essentialy the same as theirs, using Garrett wheels. He says it stands up at really low revs and makes good power. I haven't pushed my HG highflow past ~240-250rwkW yet (should have a little more in it, but unclear how much) and it does have a fairly gentle boost ramp. OK, it's much better now that I have gotten my boost controller tuned up on it.  A lot of my earlier unhappiness was because I couldn't keep the wastegate flap as closed as it needed to be (including some mechanical issues). I'd still prefer it to boost up nearly as quickly as the stocker, and it certainly a bit slower than that. So maybe the GCG one is worth the first look (for you).
    • Ok thanks 🙂 I will higly consider this. Any "known" company for a good reviews and experience to send that off? Is that CJ-motor good one? Or go straight to GCG site? I need to use VPN to even find some of those "shops" let alone access them 🙂
    • You can literally put in as much WMI as it takes to quench the combustion totally (and then back it off a little, obviously), and it will keep making more and more power. The power comes from the cooling effect of the water (and the meth) and the extra fuel (the meth, which also has massive octane). It is effectively exactly like running E85. One might be slightly better than the other, but they are damn close. But with either you can lean on the boost or the timing (or both) waaaay more than with just petrol and the results are similar. Here's the first thing I googled for an anecdotal bit of evidence. Can't access the attachment without being a gold member, but it is there for the getting if able to, or searched up elsewise perhaps. https://www.hpacademy.com/forum/general-tuning-discussion/show/wmi-vs-e85/
