Yeah I would probably go with Shannons hey..... :)

Man if Shannons pay commission, you would be laughing all the way to the bank! (not that IMO you dont deserve it as how many insurance companies can you send a PM to and have a mod added ;))

you can have X number of "at fault" accidents during the year without losing your rating 1.

Typically X is 1, you may be able to pay more for more accidents though...

I think ive got it ok with Just cars... I pay $1450 with rating 1 protection..

-~370rwkw all mods listed inc 6k wheels

-agreed value of 50k

-massive excess (maybe 2k?)

I'm 25 next year with any luck it will go down more.

age: 18

paying $3200 to Just Cars with an excess of $2200  . Only covered for $9000 because i was dumb and told him i paid that much bahhhh (scared they wont pay me out because $9k is what is stated in the transfer papers) ! I asked him that since it was agreed value, would it be possible for me to be covered for $15000, unfortunately he said no. :whistling:

thats bullshit. if you choose to have an agreed value, you can name whatever price you want. obviously your premium goes up as the agreed value does, but its still your choice.

Yeah 8oosted expect a PM when i get my insurance renewal this year. THanks mate.

At the mo im with Justcars which have been pretty good, for the past year its only cost me $900 for rating 1 with protection for a R32 GTSt and i'm only 23.

Rhett

Just Cars "Agreed" value leaves a lot to be desired. You don't actually have to agree...

you just basically put it in on the forms online and thats the value of ur car...but the premium changes as the value does. although, when doing my quotes back in jan, i tested it and from 20k to 25k, the premium didnt move....so take a guess what value i chose...lol

im with shannons now, and we actually agreed on the value over the phone :(

That is fantastic except for the excess.....but hey.....if you loose you still end up winning.

What pees me off is if someone hits you and its not your fault ....and you claim, your still up for the excess

Does my policy have a no fault no excess ? Ill have to ask them .

I have to call Shannons now to up my Agreed value....and keep the same premium

and check their no fault policy.

Isnt that what its all about....

Wow! I wonder if anyone can beat that $3200!

I could have.

I was quoted $5000 for 12k agreed value on the GTS-R fron Just Cars.

Needless to say they have just some minor verbal abuse thrown at them when they said that

I also had some stupid quotes when I was 18 trying to insure my Escort xr3i in the UK which is just a 1.6i. 11,539pounds was the highest I was quoted for TP only!! Needless to say I didnt go with them but went with another company who quoted me 1,496pounds TP only. Both were on a car with a value of 1,100 pounds. Insurance is obsurd there. :)

    • Absolute f*cking nightmare. I had to take breaks constantly, and I was always pissed off when I got home. The line split in Italy on day 2 (we drove from the Netherlands), lol. Driving any narrow European town was... well, sh*t.   Appreciate it man. Here, I'll just drop a favourite from the load I took on Saturday.   I'll update here when things happen with the car, the thing is, with stock power and almost everything chassis-wise taken care of, there really are no problems. 268,000kms now and counting.
    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
