Gtr Bov Return Pipe Do You Have To Retain It.

Recommended Posts

As the title sess.

I want to get rid of the standard bov's and the return pipe, and just put on my aftermarket vented bov.

Can I do this? Will this have the computer (standard) playing up as the air is not being put into the system.

If anyone has done this or can help me out it will be much appreciated.

Btw. Its an rb26 conversion into an s13.

If you remove the stock BOVs you have to block the end of the return pipe that is now open to atmosphere

otherwise unfiltered air will enter the system. If you run MAFs (I presume you do) then it's worse - the extra air is

unmeasured, too.

Whether you block the pipe on the driver's side near the stockers, or remove the return pipe completely and block it off on the

passenger side is up to you... I'd block it off on the driver's side since returning to the stockers will be a breeze if/when you

decide you don't like your VTA BOV :P

Saliya
