After a LOT of soul searching I've decided to put my baby out there for sale.

Going to need something more practical for the future ( something G/F can drive and something more family oriented ).

Anyway, here's the car.........

It's a 1990 R32 GTS-t Type M "Personal Import"

Being a Personal import it retains the original Jap Seatbelts, No Guard mounted indicators are required, No Petrol Filler Neck Restrictor is required, No Side Intrusion Bars are required and No Instrument Light Dimmer is required. So, it is the way it was meant to be !

This car was built up to avoid attention but do everything performance wise very well ( aka Sleeper ).

The car is straight and very clean ( anyone from this forum who's seen it will attest to this ). There are NO oil leaks.

The paint is good but not perfect and that's kinda how I like it ( car draws very little attention ).

Interested in trade for R34 GTS ( N/A ) Manual 4 Door. At least this way I can still have a Skyline that I can't modify too much ( G/F has to be able to drive it ) and car can stay on when we become a family.

NOTE: If you want to test drive it bring a $500 deposit ( otherwise I'll take you for a drive).

OK so here's the twist :)

The buyer of this car can choose to have it exactly as above, or.......

You can have it with the 3 inch Stainless Steel, more quiet, cannon tipped cat back system pictured below.

and/or

You can have it with the 17 inch wheels and tyres ( 17x8 - 235/45/17 TPG's & 17x9 - 255/40/17 TPG's ) pictured below.

and/or

You can have it with the original boot lid with wing and spoiler with brake light.

Interest in a trade?

1988 Merc 300CE (coupe, square headlights)

3L, 6 cylinder

Tan Leather Interior

Auto

129,000km

Piller-less

Dark Blue

Thanks for the offer but I'm looking to move into something around 1999 or younger. :D

Thanks to everyone who has offered their car for a trade ! Some of them have been SOOOO TEMPTING !!!

I suppose I should be more specific in what I would trade. I'm looking at getting out of turbo cars altogether.

1st post amended to reflect trade preference. Other than that, I'm open to offers.

Again, Thanks for all your offers. :P

hey mate juz a quick question did u paint ur rims?

Nope, they were painted by a Professional Spray Painter :)

Is there anyone out there who's genuinely interested but the price is a bit too high ?

The G/F has been giving me some $hit about this car not being sold saying I put the price up too high so nobody would buy it etc. I personally think it's a fair price for the car but I guess I might have to be a bit more flexible.

Anyway, PM me if you'd like to make a SENSIBLE offer :D

Meanwhile, I'll just be down in the garage doing some more mods :)

Got a Nismo Clutch Line to go on and I just fitted an Engine Dampener Kit !!

( I'm going to get help soon, I swear !! )

  • 3 weeks later...

Took some more up-to-date pics of the engine bay and put them in the first post ;)

The car now has the original boot lid & wing re-fitted ( felt like a change ;) ) See pic.

Here's a pic of the engine before it went in. Tasty....... :D

Worth mentioning is that I built this engine ( and the rest of the car for that matter ) to handle frequent track work but it HAS NOT SEEN EVEN ONE TRACK DAY SINCE IT'S REBUILD. NOT ONE !! ( Lost the desire :( )

To those that have PM'd me, I have now replied to those PM's and I'll get all the extra info and pics to you soon.

I gotta say, now that it's actually looking like my baby will go to a new home I'm feeling pretty sad  I wonder if it's natural to feel this much potential seperation anxiety for a car :D

And over the weekend the following was done.

- Replaced all the Instrument Cluster Light Globes ( 1 died so all got changed )

- Installed the NISMO GT Pro Gear Knob which feels awesome !! Buyer can choose which knob they want :)

- New Platinum Spark Plugs ( Irridium IX )

- Oil and Filter changed

To answer a question I was asked via PM .......

No, I don't have this car advertised "anywhere" else. Why ? It's only being advertised here in the hope that it will go to a new owner that will keep it as well as I've tried to ( enthusiast ). If I was hard core wanting / needing to sell it I would have it advertised everywhere.

I'm going to make the following offer but if this doesn't sell the car, I'll just keep it.

The car with:

- R32 GT-R Wheels

- Standard Boot Lid with Wing

- Standard Steering Wheel

- Nismo Leather Gearknob

- Twin Pipe - Cat-back Exhaust

$17,000 firm.

BTW, The last dyno was done in 2003 and was 207rwkw on 1 bar ( 14.5psi ) and I have the dyno sheet as proof. I can assure you that there's a lot more power to be had from this set-up with a few more mods !! ( if you really "need" more than 207rwkw ?!?! :/ )

    • You just need to remove the compressor housing, not the entire turbo. I would not be drilling and tapping anything with the housing still on anyways.
    • So, I put my boat on a boat. First of all, I'm going to come out and say it. Why is Tasmania not considered a holy goal, an apex that all road-legal modified cars go to, to experience? This place is an absolute wonderland of titanic proportions. If people are already getting club runs for once in a lifetime 30 person cruises to Tassy then I've never seemed to see it. It is like someone replaced the entire place with an idyllic wonderland for cars, and all of the people living there with paid actors who are kind, humble, and friendly. Dear god. After doing a lap of almost all of the place I've found that it's a great way to find out all of the little things that the car isn't doing quite right and a great way to figure it all out. All in all, I drove for 4 hours a day for a week and nothing broke. I didn't even need to open the engine bay. This is by all means a great success, but it has left me with a list of things to potentially address. I also now have a 3D printed wheel fitment tool which annoyingly hasn't got any threads in it to actually assemble it. I might be able to tape it together to check the sizing I actually want to use, but it'll likely involving pulling the shocks out to properly measure travel at least at the front, and probably raise the car while I'm at it, at least in the rear. I scraped on quite a few things and I'm not sure how else to go about it. I was taking anything with a bump at what felt like 89 degree angles. And address those 10 other tasks. And wash the car. God damn it is dirty. And somehow, the weather was perfect the entire time - And because I was on the top of Mt Wellington it turns out it was very much about to freeze up there. I did something I typically never do and took some photos up there in what must have been -10 and the foggy felt like suspended ice, rather than mere fog. If you own a car in Australia, you owe it to yourself to do it.
    • Damn that was hilarious, and a bit embarrassing for skylines in general 😂 vintage car life ey. That R33 really stomped. Pretty entertaining stuff
    • Hi, I have a r32 gtr transmission. Does any of you guys have an idea how much power it will hold with the billet center plate and stock gearset? At what power level and use did yours brake with or without billet plate? Thanks, Oystein Lovik
    • Saw this replica police car based on a Mitsubishi Starion XX parked next to a 'police box' (it's literally a box) in Hirohata, Himeji City in Hyogo prefecture the other day. It's owned by Morii-san who is a local Mitsubishi Starion enthusiast. According to a local radio station blog post, he always wanted to make a police car himself based on ones he saw in his favourite Manga comics.  As it's illegal to modify a car to look like a police car and drive on the road, Morii-san tried many times to get permission from Aboshi police station headquarters nearby. They refused initially by after they got tired of that they granted him permission. However, the car can only be displayed on private property and obviously can't be registered as long as the police livery is present. The car was completed at a cost of 1.5 million yen (US$ 10,000) in addition to the car cost. A location was chosen outside Hirohata Police box where the car can easily been seen from the street. Morii-san has two other Starion road cars, both widebody GSR-VRs.
