oxford1327
ok quick replies to questions today. N1GTR. no the hose clamp will not be included in the packet a i am not gonna be postin them out, but the hose clamp it self should be bout 40cents at any hardware store or automotive shop and will be of size 12mm to 18mm as this is the size i used.(i "found" mine at work though hehehe) SATANIC. the differences would only be in the thread size of your sump and as it states in the listings of engines on page 3 of the thread that most nissans are the same, a for the number tag it would be to identify you as the payer when the deposit is made, for example say they allow you to only put a string of numbers next to the deposit receipt number, some banks allow letters and numbers so that the payee can tell who it was that deposited the cash, somethin like this deposit of $41 from satanic(real name) at blah blah bank on this date receipt number 6549613 with number tag 55689. you then pm me with the details of the transaction/amount/receipt number and the number tag you put with it so i can identify you as the payer when i check the balances etc. hope this makes it a bit clearer for ya but if not lemme know k Edited August 9, 2006 by oxford1327 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/127757-quick-release-sump-drain-group-buy-ended/page/4/#findComment-2396139 Share on other sites

Fumoto
Hi Guys, Just thought I'd check on this group buy and answer a few questions. Thanks to Oxford for setting this up. I'm sure you guys will enjoy the valve. A lot of questions are answered here http://www.fumoto.com.au/info.htm Some of these questions have been answered, but I'll confirm the answers. Yes I'm in on the group buy... can you find out if the nipple is removable? There are two versions, non-nippled and nippled. The nipple is cast into it so, no, it's not removable. Interested, but id like to know how hard the spring that holds the arm is So there is not a chance of it swinging open by itself It's double-action, so you have to push it "up" then across through 90 degrees to have the ball valve completely open. It is still quite stiff. No way it would open due to vibration or hard jolt. Will these fit an RB26, I remember reading somewhere that the magnetic ones you get don't fit the 26's sump, are these the same or are there different parts for each? Unless the sump drain is recessed or there is a cross member/ sway bar in the way, there will be no problem fitting the valve. Take a look at the pics and you will get an idea of how it mounts. These are not magnetic in any way. All late model (1990 on) accepts F-103 (12mm-1.25). Pre 1990 - F102 (PF-3/8). Please check your sump plug if unsure (yes, it will be a pain, but you only have to do it once). Will also fit RB25. For honda s2000 Please note, Honda S2000 takes an F-106 and requires an ADP-106 (adaptor to allow the valve to clear the sump). This will add significantly to how much the valve sticks out, please be aware of this. I estimate 40-50mm in total. does the lever have to be held open?? or does it lock into place?? Locks open so you can leave it to drain. Can you find out what postage costs are - I'm in Perth... Standard delivery charge to anywhere in Australia for any quantity. Included in your price. one question. since its a ball valve and its underneath. exposed to dirst, water ETC. Will the ball valve works in the long run? if this matter is clarified i want one as well. Will it fit the RB26 engine ? Let me know. If you get crap in it, hose it down, it won't mind. Stainless steel ball. If it leaks, I'll replace it...even in 10 years. Keep your receipt. another quick question. Will the quick realease valve be sticcking out abut 1/2" to 1"? If one has tje car low will it be risking of hitting a bump with the valve and rip the whole thing off? Let me know In total, it should only be sticking out 10mm more than your sump plug. As well, it will be on an angle so the actual distance from the ground is not excessive. oxford are you able to put up a list of motors that this fits please? http://www.fumoto.com.au/sizes.htm Can it come with this? (Hose clamp) Personally, I don't think you will need it (unless you go offroad in the Skyline), but for your own piece of mind, you can add a hose clamp, or use a small (1-2mm thick) cable tie. I can include some cable ties in your group buy (Oxford - please remind me). Any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Cheers, Jack EDIT: Had too many quotes. Paddy
Yes i read the whole thread and by the look of the chart on page 3 they will fit SR20 But just want to make sure, Will these fit a SR20? If so you got another. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/127757-quick-release-sump-drain-group-buy-ended/page/4/#findComment-2403263 Share on other sites

If so you got another. Yes, they fit SR20. Same F-103 Oh, in case everyone didn't read my reply to Oxford on the first page, the prices are for F-103, non-nippled. I assumed that everyone on Skylines Australia would be getting one for their Skyline. If you are getting one for a car other than a Skyline, please check the part number and price for that vehicle and let Oxford know. If it is originally $49, then you will get the same discount. If it's more, or you need an adaptor (eg. Honda S2000), then the price will be different. Ska
Alright well I took a look under the front of my Stagea and lined up what it there and at what levels and here is my interpretation: So here are the explanations: RED - This is the bottom most part of the lip on my front bar YELLOW - This is the bottom most part of the actual front bar GREEN - Front part of the front subframe BLACK - I dont know what the name for it is, but it s huge thick peice of metal that runs just behind the sump PURPLE - The Sump itself BLUE - The sump plug So yes if anything hits the sump plug it's going to hit that big black thingy too, but I noticed that there is a small hole in the subfram bit that runs in front of the sump plug, so I might just bolt a peice of 5mm thick steel there that protrudes down a bit o add that little bit of extra protection. Does it cost extra for the nipple version? Does it cost extra for the nipple version? Yes, the nippled version is $4 extra. Unless your sump drain hole is behind a sump guard (and you couldn't be bothered taking the sump guard off every time you change the oil), you don't need the nippled one (to attach a hose to). Just open the valve and let the oil drop straight down into your oil pan. Ska
Yeah I would rather attach a hose but that is just me for ~10% extra on the price, just for the nipple........ meh I can do without. How much are the units normally without postage? Fumoto
Horses for courses. Just be aware that the nipple adds an extra 18mm to the valve's length. Non-nippled with out postage is $49, nippled $54. Postage is normally $7 So at $41 delivered, that's not a bad deal. oxford1327
the big black steel bit you are referring to ska is the main crossmember for the front section of the chassis. in the pics i took under my car you can see the crossmember just behind the drain i have installed, so this should give you a clearer indication of where it will be situated once you install it Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/127757-quick-release-sump-drain-group-buy-ended/page/4/#findComment-2418399 Share on other sites

WazR32GTSt
anyone else have one installed and tested? i'm keen but my biggest concern is not that the lever will turn in everyday driving, but that oil under pressure might leak past the valve...
