I was filling up my water tank for window cleaning in the car and accidentally spilled some droplets of water to the right of the plastic tank on this plastic connections... i wiped it off but last night my right head light wasnt working! :D

Can anyone tell me what could be the issue? Blown fuse or did i blow my head bulb?

Sounds like it might be a coincidence, those connectors are pretty water resistent. Think about how much water would get into that area driving in the rain, and compare to the amount that you spilt. Make sure that you didn't knock the connectors loose though.

whaever you do, dont drive at night. sounds simple, but once i was drving frmo penrith to wollongong in the chaser, and i didnt know until it was too late, but both my headlights were out.

i didnt realise while i was on the M4 and main roads where theres lighting, but once on the hume I had two choices: high beams and live, or no lights and porbably veer into the dirt and make some crashing noises.

this post is no help at all, sorry

It's most likely those rice bulbs that you have. Those whit bulbs look nice, but I have never found some that last. When I first got my car, I went through about 3 packets (6 bulbs) in about 12 months.

But check it before you replace it.

What I found when they blew was it happened when i turned it on. It'd go on, then turn off striaght away and it's like shit, there goes the bulb.

The lights on R33 S2's are not driving lights, they're only good as fog lights. Not sure what they're like on the S1 I haven't driven one at night. If you used one in an emergency I wouldn't recommend doing more than 20-40km/h because you can't see further than that.

R33 headlight connectors are filled with a weird whitish goop, which seems to dry over time. Heaps of people complain about intermittent headlights which start working if you whack them with your hand - this is just a poor connection issue.

When I replaced my parking lights I had the same problem, wiggling the wire slightly would make the light go on and off. I sprayed the shit out of the socket with an air duster and a bunch of crud fell out. Then I sprayed the socket and the plug with electronic contact cleaner and slapped it together and couldn't make it play up.

So your globe is probably fine just the plug isn't making good contact.

    • All 3 I guess. The car came with the JASI Aero 4 door Type R Full Kit unpainted so this was one thing at the top of my list to complete then I noticed there were body panels parts for this kit so i picked them up along with some black mesh to fill in the front bumper and front side air vents. car is at a paint and body shop atm completing this work. Next I will be addressing the internal bells and whistles, great summer project I can do with the kids.  full interior removal - ,boys car sound deadening - pads and spray ,boys stereo, sound, lighting - Big 3, GTT or bigger alternator ,kids head lining - dye black add star lighting mod ,daughter. That's it for the next 5-6 months. I have some motor maintenance  work i have to plan out. oil filter relocation, gaskets, mounts. beyond that, mind is starting to turn over if i can use a DET intake plenum, block off turbo ports & pipe in a air intake.
    • roller coaster of a ride. Alarm system was removed & main harness was repaired where possible. still no fix just random successful starts. moved on to the replacing the ignition switch and relay. well all this troubleshooting & repair has been going on, the car is at a paint and body shop being pushed around. Ive been going down there on odd days after work to get it sorted.

    • I think he was only proposing to use the wire, not the sender. Simply because it runs from the right place to the right place. Personally, I wouldn't hack up the factory wiring like that. I'd just lay in the Defi loom.
