You can get almost anything to play Dvd's, not much of a problem there..

Increasing power is alot more harder and costly on n/a skylines ( non - turbo )

I suggest if you're looking for power, look into a turbo.

Mods like exhausts, pods or other simple mods won't make much power difference..

There's lots of other cars you can get for the money you're paying for the r34 non-turbo..

yeah but its realy for my girlfriend who crashed the s13 so i dont want her to have to much power but I think she just wants it to sound sweet out the exaust so i should just get a cannon on the back. Im going to have a look and drive this arvo will post pics then.

P.S she's more about style rather than power she just realy want to play music clips in the car on the standard monitor. If I just buy a dvd headunit will do the job i hope. but I have tryed to tell her to shop around but she has her heart set.

Will have pics this arvo

This pic is of my ride

May aswell go the whole way, make sure the piping is no bigger than 2.5 inches, and a big cannon might not be the best option unless it's providing suitable back pressure..

Hey Alex I like your four door its exactly what im thinking of getting when I sell the Gtst 33. Need to start saving for a house and I love the look of 34 four doors.

Chris

Oh thanks dood, its my pride and joy, that car doesnt skip a beat, i dont even drive the car cold, i wont start it until it has fully warmed up,i honestly take more car of the car then i take care of myself, i service it every 10,000 km with Motul Turbo light oil and change the oil filter, ive changed the coil packs with top of the line splitfire ones cause the normal ones are crap and go eventually, changed the spark plugs to NGK's changed the timing belt to gates timing belt, changed all over belts just for piece of mind, it has king springs, 2.25 exhaust catback and im now looking for a high flow cat to fit aswell. Um changed the rear speakers just cause i had some good ones sitting around. The car has no leaks what so ever and i believe it can pass absolutely any inspection. The car is perfect on the exterior, one or two stone chips but im having that fixed. I will be selling the car soon, cause im looking for a turbo 34 or a highly modified 33. Heres a pic of the car on a cruze i was on. Oh yeah the car has warranty but i told them to shove it cause i dont trust them servicing my car with crappy mobil and castrol oils. So i started servicing it myself so i can be sure the work has been done. Ill be selling the car soon, oh and it is unbelivable on petrol i always put premium fuel and 60 bucks will get u a full tank and it can do approx 500km per tank with the aircon. And it has a pod airfilter with chrome shield.

NO 2.25" is too small. Stock exhaust is 2.5". Just make sure you use a decent quality muffler (not straight through) and incorporate a resonator. My 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust NEVER drones

Heres a few questions, is your car a 34, is your car auto. Mine is a 34 and it is auto and its is N/A and it drones heaps now it just has a 2 and a 1/4, 34's have a reputation for being louder then 33's i have a resenator and an awsome "drift" tip which i payed $220 for. The r34 stocko ones arent 2.5 they are 2". So trust me dont get a 2.5 on an Auto, on a manual maybe but defenetly not on an auto.

And Chris, yeah its NA so now i want to move up cause i recon i can handle a turbo car and want to modify it sort of as a project. Im thinking of buying a 4 door again if i can find a manual one but they are almost impossible in 4 door. But will probably go with the 2 door just for a bit of change. Good luck with your sale to man. That is when u sell it lol. And when i sell mine if ur really interested i might be willing to negotiate a special price for u

my car is a manual r33.

it seems unlikely r34s are louder than r33s given they use the same engine (with a neo shroud). yeah auto trans can make the exhaust a bit more droney

Yeah the piping was different with the 33's and 34's for some reason and the engine isnt the same the 34's have a neo head fitted which the r33's dont. The power output is very similar however torque varies abit, the head was designed to lower emissions it also produces more torque at lower rpm's. Trust me my exhaust is 2 and 1/4 inch and its way louder then my maits on who has a r33 manual NA but his is also 2 and 1/4 inch. Also i dont know if u get this but my mates one makes a rattle noise after like 4000rpm. My 34 Doesnt do that. But mine at lower rpm's drones, anything after 2000 rpm sounds nice. The problem is you can drive 70km'h and it will drive at 1500rpm.

    • Yeah, it's getting like that, my daughter is coming over on Thursday to help me remove the bonnet so I can install the Carbuilders underbonnet stuff,  I might get her to give me a hand and remove the hardtop, maybe, because on really hot days the detachable hardtop helps the aircon keep the interior cool, the heat just punches straight through to rag top I also don't have enough hair for the "wind in the hair" experience, so there is that....LOL
    • Could be falling edge/rising edge is set wrong. Are you getting sync errors?
    • On BMWs what I do because I'm more confident that I can't instantly crush the pinch welds and do thousands of USD in chassis damage is use a set of rubber jacking pads designed to protect the chassis/plastic adapter and raise a corner of the car, place the aforementioned 2x12 inch wooden planks under a tire, drop the car, then this normally gives me enough clearance to get to the front central jack point. If you don't need it to be a ramp it only needs to be 1-1.5 feet long. On my R33 I do not trust the pinch welds to tolerate any of this so I drive up on the ramps. Before then when I had to get a new floor jack that no longer cleared the front lip I removed it to get enough clearance to put the jack under it. Once you're on the ramps once you simply never let the car down to the ground. It lives on the ramps or on jack stands.
    • Nah. You need 2x taps for anything that you cannot pass the tap all the way through. And even then, there's a point in response to the above which I will come back to. The 2x taps are 1x tapered for starting, and 1x plug tap for working to the bottom of blind holes. That block's port is effectively a blind hole from the perspective of the tap. The tapered tap/tapered thread response. You don't ever leave a female hole tapered. They are supposed to be parallel, hence the wide section of a tapered tap being parallel, the existince of plug taps, etc. The male is tapered so that it will eventually get too fat for the female thread, and yes, there is some risk if the tapped length of the female hole doesn't offer enough threads, that it will not lock up very nicely. But you can always buzz off the extra length on the male thread, and the tape is very good at adding bulk to the joint.
    • Nice....looking forward to that update
