When I saw the news article this morning about the Australian Government wanting to set up an armed, floating prison ship to handle asylum seekers...

I didn't think of politics.

I didn't think of human rights.

I thought of Christopher Lambert or perhaps Stephen Segal and some weeaksauce rapper side-kick with a stupid name. I saw Walken as the evil captain, I saw a Hollywood hottie as the ship's doctor who falls for our heroic protagonist (who was wrongly imprisoned of course), there's perhaps some kind of people-smuggling, chem-weapons making, undersea aliens, espionage threat - with Van Damme making his career comback as 'the President' and his twin brother.

Surely this is so crazy an idea - it MUST be made into a crappy film!

Put your screenplay ideas here - and we can submit it to Village Roadshow. Afterall - they funded Matrix 3!

Bill Paxton's star shon brightly in that titty film we watched the other week

So... Maybe Walken as the evil John Howard and Paxton as the firm-but-fair captain of the prison ship who sacrifices himself to help Christopher Lambert's character escape some kind of shark pool trap set by one of the Van Damme twins.

See, i'm thinking Danny DeVito (ala Penguin/batman), as the evil John Howard, with Walken as his side kick treasurer.

Dolf would have to be the choice as the captain!!

Oh and Rosanne Barr as Amanda Vanstone!

As it is anchored off the NT we can have a Tsunami that causes it to flip over and the survivors have to climb around to try and find an exit at the bottom of the ship before it sinks.

The survivors then get swept to a small uninhabited island where they discover their love for one another 'Blue Lagoon' style. :D

The the ghostly Davey Jones comes to reap their souls :P (only added that to use the pirate smiley)

    • Checked with amayama and nope, the full S2 manual set is not available anymore. Unsurprising, but still disappointing as the ? on availability gave a glimmer of hope.
    • I've heard the Tomei USA head gaskets are decent if you want to o-ring the heads but otherwise not recommended.
    • The 296mm rotors are the R33 turbo brakes. The 310mm rotors are the R34 turbo brakes. The calipers are nearly the same, but not. They're the same caliper but the R34 caliper has longer legs so that it sits out far enough to go over the rotor. The pads are the same for both. When you say, "I bough tsome EBC"....did you just mean pads? Or rotors? 310mm rotors fit under 17" wheels. There may be some wheels without enough clearance though. I can't fit my fingers between the barrel of my wheel and the "corners" of my R34 calipers, but there is plenty of room behind the spokes. This is on Enkei RPF1. You can fit 324mm rotors inside a 17" wheel, but I'd be willing to bet that it would be close to impossible with the Nissan/Sumitomo caliper (using an adapter, of course), because the Sumitomo caliper is fatter than the Brembo caliper that is supposed to go on the 324mm rotors.
    • Hi. Can someone tell me what brakes(and mainly WHERE) can i buy brakes on R34 GTT? I bought some EBC which SHOULD go on my car(i have GT but it has GTT brakes) but it does not fit, Brakes are "too" small(296mm) Are 310mm be good or? I have 17 inch wheel so no "big boys" but for me driving i just need one that fits and i can get here in EU/Czech.
