Well Riceboy, when I bought the car the boost connections had been plugged up (disconnected) . She was running on 5bars... now its alot more :(

They reconnected the boost, tuned it, and minor service minus an oil change.. (did it not long ago) and gave it a once over to see if anything needs attention...Have I missed anything out?

ETA: I don't think I've missed anything out, the list is in the car and its too cold to go and get it

Price is irrelevant. What matters is a job well done and a happy customer! :P

I have to agree that paying a little more to get fantastic service is priceless. Why pay less for a dodgy job and get urself all fussed up about it? For me, if i can't afford it, don't buy it/do it/own it.

Anyway, 5psi u mean. 5bar boost = .... bye bye engine? =)

aren't Hyperdrive one of SAUWA sponsors? What sort of discounts do they give? I was looking at their FC D Jetro pack installed and tunned for the GTR...mmm... I know you can't put a price on experience and a good job, but when you can buy a D Jetro on eBay for $1000 and then plug in the module yourself = $1200 just to tune...mmm... still pricey. Maybe the member discount would make it hurt the hip ocket less? Anyone know?

If you can get a DJetro off Ebay , brand new , with the harness pack and MAP sensors then I will have 4 of them please.

You are looking at a std Power FC or maybe the DJetro minus the essential MAP kit.

For STD power FC's we charge $1700 supplied , fitted and tuned with an Australian warranty or $450 to fit and tune if you supply the power FC ( but not the DJetro).

Please get your facts right .

Cheers

Ken

GODTHRILA, on nengun, to get the Power FC DJetro delivered with neccessary nipples MAP sensors etc will cost you around $1400 delivered so for Hyperdrive to supply, fit, tune and provide knowledge and advice for just over $2K is a good deal i reckon.....

sorry mate didn't mean to offend or say your prices were too high, ive always believed in payin for experience and a good job... for the record everyone, I thought it was a D Jetro, but it was a std FC...my mistake... all hail Ken :O

I think a thread on pwr FC would be a great idea... such a cool peice of gear maybe Ken can arrange a group buy with a group discount on install and tune as well???

haha... bites my head off and then gets a free plug for his troubles

There is a huge thread on SAU somewhere about Power FC.

I didn't think I bit your head off but see it from our point of view. The internet is a powerful tool and your post , without checking the true facts , puts us in a bad light by suggesting that we are very expensive when in fact when it comes to power FC tuning in Perth , we are actually the cheapest of the known shops.

There are group buys on Power FC's ( also on here ) for $950 from Japan direct which is a killer deal and we are happy to fit and tune them for you at $450.

Apology accepted :(:) :)

hehehe

Cheers

Ken

    • It would be different if the sealant hadn't started to peel up with gaps in the glue about ~6cm and bigger in some areas. I would much prefer not having to do the work take them off the car . However, the filler the owner put in the roof rack mount cavities has shrunk and begun to crack on the rail delete panels. I cant trust that to hold off moisture ingress especially where I live. Not only that but I have faded paint on as well as on either side of these panels, so they would need to come off to give the roofline a proper respray. My goal is to get in there and put a healthy amount of epoxy instead of panel filler/bog and potentially skin with carbon fiber. I have 2 spare rolls from an old motorcycle fairing project from a few years back and I think it'd be a nice touch on a black stag.  I've seen some threads where people replace their roof rack delete with a welded in sheet metal part. But has anyone re-worked the roof rails themselves? It seems like there is a lot of volume there to add in some threads and maybe a keyway for a quick(er) release roof rack system. Not afraid to mill something out if I have to. It would be cool to have a cross bar only setup. That way I can keep the sleek roofline that would accept a couple bolts to gain back that extra utility  3D print some snazzy covers to hide the threaded section to be thorough and keep things covered when not using the rack.
    • Probably not. A workshop grade scantool is my go to for proper Consult interrogation. Any workshop grade tool should do it. Just go to a workshop.
    • In my head it does make sense to be a fuel problem since that is what I touched when cleaning the system. When I was testing with the fuel pressure gauge, the pressure was constantly 2.5 bar with the FPR vacuum removed. When stalling, the pressure was going up to 3.0 bar (which is how it should be on ignition).
    • ECUtalk pages don't mention they support the ABS computer (consult port has more than one CAN), so you might just need a different scan tool. But, I would expect ABS is a different light to the brake warning/handbrake light, do you see an ABS light come on for a few seconds when you turn the key from ACC to IGN? But since you said: I'd have a look at the ABS sensors in the rear hubs to make sure they are not damaged, disconnected etc.
    • OK, if it idles at 1000+ with the AAC, its not an idle airflow problem. The cold start valve just gives extra air when the engine is cold, but you have enough air without it to idle at 1000. I think you are back to a fuel problem, sorry. Can you see the fuel pressure staying constant or does it drop as the revs drop to a stall?
