I just recently purchased my 1990 Skyline GTS-T Type M and i cannot seem to get ANY boost out of it. My maximum revs i can reach are only 3.5k. I do not have a seized turbo, i know that for sure. All I need to know is why i am not getting any boost.

AFM?

I think if there is an issue with the afm the computer goes into limp mode and restricts revs to 3.5k

thats true your car will go into "limp" mode if there is an issue with your afm. just check if the afm lead is pluged in properly. :P it happend to me and took me a week to find out wats rong lol in the end my afm wasnt pluged in properly. goodluck

i tried check the IC piping and it's good. i do not have a seized turbo..

THERE IS SO MANY IDEAS I DON'T KNOW WHICH ONE TO CHECK!

okay. 1st. my wastegate might be seized open ?

2nd. check the AFM plug.. ?

3rd. i have a boost leak ?

I have the same problem.

My car is revving past 3.5k but on the boost guage it shows that it wont go past the 0 mark.

Any ideas?

this could be something as simple as the boost gauge or for electronic boost gauges the sensor aswell

Look for the air filter, the afm is a black plastic piece between it and the turbo, should be just after the filter
