There is no freight company onboard with SAU.

Why do we need one?

Has someone offered?

I couldnt see it as a requirement, we have enough sponsors/traders as it is.

www.yellowpages.com.au

Let your fingers do the walking if your looking for someone yourself to ship stuff so anything that Aust Post cant handle

If im ever to start my own business i will do this for sau

cause there is that much stuff being sold and transported its not funny

company would make a mint

anyway does anyone know of a good cheap frieghting company i can use

for interstate stuff

so u expect a free site to organise a better price for shipping and stuff (or some form of an account) and u dont even give anything back in return?

if ur a business a frieght company will allow u 2 set up ur account. but i guess thats not the case here

if ur buying something from interstate for urself, expect to pay for frieght like everyone else.

also cheaper doesnt always mean quality transport either.

imho, use aust post. always the cheapest

so u expect a free site to organise a better price for shipping and stuff (or some form of an account) and u dont even give anything back in return?

Do you guys understand business at all?

all im saying is a company could easily start up and have enough work

through this site to not even worry about contracting.

and thats probably only if half the people on here went through them to frieght parts

it could work the same sort of way as people selling parts or group buys

a certain amount of orders from lets say melb to bris (customers on sau)

ship maybe twice a week or something like that

hence cheaper price

no account has to be set up just a bit of organisation

anyway forget it i will get my mate to ship my stuff for me

Just used VICFAST

to ship a IMB PC Tower Server to QLD and it cost $62 for 25Kg -77cmx55cmx30cm (+ $1500 Ins for $60)

Seemed to be good value after looking around and client was happy to pay it.

    • Not sure the US can import anything other than the C34 Stagea's, but if you can and you need to to tow, DO NOT under any circumstances get an M35 Stagea. If it is just as a family car and your country/state allows it, absolutely and definitely get an M35 (3.5L if possible as it is effectively a 350Z) over a C34.
    • Punch your VIN (nm35-xxxxxx) into Amayama.com You can see everything there quite easily.
    • Thanks for that, I'll check it all out. I can always do the brakes last anyway if its a problem.  The 16's are super cool, if they do fit I'll cruise around with them for a bit.
    • Well, that's kinda the point. The calipers might interfere with the inside of the barrels 16" rims are only about 14" inside the barrels, which is ~350mm, and 334mm rotors only leave about 8mm outboard for the caliper before you get to 350, And.... that;s not gunna be enough. If the rims have a larger ID than that, you might sneak it in. I'd be putting a measuring stick inside the wheel and eyeballing the extra required for the caliper outboard of the rotor before committing to bolting it all on.
