problem with rotories is that you see one, you see them all.

all of them are pretty much the same engine, same sound, similar time, all of them can not idle, all in same chassis, rx2,3,4,7

at the beginning of the race, i was fine, but then really got sick of them aye...

LoL, but not trying to sound stupid dude. But how about R32, R33... Cause I sure as heck didnt see any R34s racing. Same engine, same sound, slower times, (bar one...) pretty much the same car even... Just pointing it out :nuke:

End of it all, the bikes got me, crazy barstards.

i have to agree with you on this one dave. most cars that race are alot a like in engine specs and stuff but that isnt the point of the jambo, its to watch the racing, perv on the hot women, ha ha

really if u wanted to see show cars i think autosalon is the place to be, me personally i go to jambo to watch the racing, that's the real shit right there.

I only goto jamboree to watch a few runs...cause after i see 2 or 3 i get bored and well the chicks hold ya attention longer...however heaps of companies there showing their stuff for sale...get to look at turbos and other performance parts...research for race car....real racing not the kind that lasts for a few seconds like a 15yr old kid having his first root.

I went both days and was a good turnout, sat was a way better day to go then sunday. Was good to see all in all and was lucky enough to see the world record pass by the heat treatments r32 gtr late sat afternoon/night, so that makes it a worth while trip for me. Was good to see so many fast cars, many in the consitant 7 second zone which realy says something about the sport, it's only getting bigger and faster. My persoanl fave's are, heat treatmetns r32 gtr @ 7.57 , gas motor sport camry @ 6.8 and mr mad in his insane twin turbo 2000hp torrana @ 6.8, and i saw all the fastest passes  It was a pitty not to see that many quick skylines with many og the big players having gremlins, but thats racing for ya :(

i know i'm gonna get alot of people disagreeing with me here but i dont really think the girls was that special. The girls on stage i didnt think were model quality and there were a couple of hot promo girls but a few pretty average ones to. Sorry to any girls who read this and may be offended. If i saw them at any other time or place my jaw would probably drop but i couldnt get away from the cars. The sound and smell just kept me glued to the track lol

argh the ladies are an added bonus but the cars are the real stuff.

i just got the photo's off other various sites, bcoz there are alot of aw4esome inages of the cars and stuff on there, and no one has really posted many of the girls and cars in here. also i didnt have my cam with me it was in s.a. with my sister (GRRRRRRR)

anyway. good pics for the photographers, that is what they are there for, to share around and look at.

My car ran the highest MPH ever... but the gerabox is getting worse.. Ordered the powerglide today... should be around a month away... and should pretty much put the car straight into the 9's!! FARK YEAH!!!

Highest mph ever? Wouldnt that mean you would of had to got a really slow start and then gotten really quick really fast towards the end? I saw your car and it was damn quick and impressive but it was far from the quickest there. Sorry if that sounded insulting, your car was defintly a crowd pleasure. Actually i think crowd shocker is more the word. it was strange hearing a supercharged v8 come out of a skyline lol

    • Thanks for doing that Duncan! Makes you a good person in my books. We don't get kangaroos or wombats here. But we have bats and it's similar. AFAIK it's often the mums with a baby attached that get hit because they drop lower when starting from a tree. If you hit an animal, check on it. https://www.ifaw.org/au/resources/wildlife-rescue-app An app to get the closest wildlife rescue contact.
    • My dream is also to have a proper hoist, but I don't think it will ever happen. My quickjack is probably as close as I'll ever get, it really is very good though.
    • Yeah we keep on in the dailies, it is pretty poor how many animals get hit and the driver leaves without checking....have saved a couple of little ones over the years. Bit of a gruesome job though, pouches generally need to be cut open because they are so tight and often the joey doesn't realise mum is gone so they are still locked onto the teat. I checked the modules in front of the DS wheel where an oil cooler should go.... There is the radar unit - that can go for race use) One of the 2 HX water pumps, the silver cylinder. That needs to be kept but might be able to be relocated But the bad news, the big computer mounted vertically in front of the wheel (blocking any potential air exit) is the electric steering computer. That is required until/unless i do a hydraulic steering conversion, and in CAD based modern car design it is not like I can just pop a big unit like that somewhere else (plus the loom would be too short anywhere else too). So, the passenger side is OK to clear out (just use a smaller washer reservoir, potentially elsewhere), but the DS no beuno
    • Well, all the best with the new camry It was interesting to hear about the UK process, it is generally a lot more streamlined here with a shipping agent looking after all the import side (noting the exact final price can still be a surprise.....) and I've used a few different brokers on the japan (or US) side, and never had any trouble with any of them....luck of the draw I guess. You mentioned you didn't get the auction sheet (understandable since you bought it from a dealer, not auction), but I always try and get hold of that because they are pretty thorough. I've imported 2x R grade vehicles over the years and both were fine, repairs in Japan are pretty thorough compared to here in Oz.
    • BTW I measured the jack I have, it is 70mm at the saddle but you only have about 700 until it returns to 150mm high at the cylinder so it is good but no magic bullet.
