Mate,

I dont know about apexi power fc's but everyone seems to use them here and get some good figures. I have a 35/40 Garrett(Cost me $1550), 44mm Tial Wastegate(About $500 if you shop around) and stock 25 injectors(Free and maxxed out) on a 25/30 combo and it just turned out 356.5hp @ the rear wheels but I run a Haltech E6X and stock VL Turbo Fuel system(your skyline fuel system will handle it I think). If you have a custom exhaust all is good.

You will need a high mount manifold (I paid about 350 for mine off ebay and its been great but you can pay upto $1200 and be weary as quality is varying) Power Fc's will set you back upto about $1200 but you can get second handies for cheaper.

Your stock pistons and rods will handle it for sure but also depends on how good of condition your engine is as mine is brand new rebuild.

Hope it helps others might be able to chime in with more advice. Shop around before you jump in and look for people that come recommended.

thats quite cheap for the turbo etc cause i got quoted for a low mount gt35 with everything like wastegate, injectors, fuelpump power fc exhaust manifold, dyno tune, turbo gaskets, oil feed line, mod intake pipes, dump pipe fuel reg and labour all up about 8.7 grand and thts a bit much for me

stock VL Turbo Fuel system(your skyline fuel system will handle it I think).

the stock r33 fuel pump flows more than a stock vl will. the stock vl pumps about 96L per min and the r33 is 135L/min.

if your car is a manual also take into account a heavy clutch or your stock 1 will chuck the towel in pretty quickly.

IIRC the GCG Hi Flows are good to 260rwkw (~350hp). Just look over the group buy thread, theres heaps of info on them there. You have most of the supporting mods so I don't see why it wouldn't, maybe some cam gears/poncams to get it spooling earlier.

sweet anychacne u could give me a link to them threads been looking for them and i think gcg isa mucch cheaper option sincei got a quote for a garret theres alot of custom work which needs to be done and they told me for 350 hp usinga gt35 im looking at 9 and abit grand

    • I'm a fan of the JZX110, and the Aristo. Big cruiser cars, and with the factory cars, super comfortable and feel like you're driving an armchair! And the JZ motors are a pretty nice engine too, especially with some basic mods.   The import process, and the need to be able to trust people, and the fact there's so many scammers around is what ever puts me off wanting to go through that ordeal!
    • I don't care for these at all, but at least the underside looks straight and not rusty. A good basis for a long life. Many cars from Japan have been lifted with forklifts and f**ked almost irrepairably.
    • Yes, but it's not dumb or dodgy. You can build a perfectly good boost controller from a pressure reg, a relief valve (looks same same as a reg if all from Norgren or SMC, for example) and a check valve. I ran one for years. Only superceded with  EBC because I could get one for cheaps and wanted finer control.   THis mod is certainly not a sketchy boost mod, provided the boost is kept below the "spin to death" threshold of the turbos.
    • With ordering the belt, you're doing water pump and the idler and tensioner at the same time too yes?
    • This is just a dumb way of keeping the wastegate closed to make more boost. Undo it and either follow the factory setup or redo it properly. Manual boost controllers just use a spring preload to determine when to close in response to boost pressure so it no longer vents to atmosphere.
