:) Hello all,

Bad news my baby , my R32 got stollen on Wednesday night.. out of my driveway, parked outside my bedroom.. didnt hear a thing.. the neighbours claim they saw the car parked in my driveway at 2am..so it must have happened after that.

Yes really enjoyed waking up at 7am to realise my car is missing!

I swear if I catch the idiots that took her! :)

On top of that got call from cops today and car has been recovered in a mess in the Broadmeadows area..havent seen car yet but its going to need lots of work and might be a write-off and thank god was comprehensively insured.

Im really cursing for not having an alarm installed or having her locked up the garage like i usually do..

Will post pics of damage once I see her during the week. :D

So sad! :(

haha you can always count on broady :)

sorry to hear, you were trying to sell it weren't you?

tsk tsk tsk broady really needs a bit of overhauling :)

Yeh was trying to sell her.. had heaps of interest.. but she wasnt parked in broady..

i just cant believe she got stollen out of my driveway

f**k broadmeadows man its a f**king scum place so much car theft in that area. When i worked over there, all my panel beater/mechanic customers were always selling parts and re birthing vehicles there.

Why cant the police crack down in that area?

I know.. i cant believe none heard a thing.. they just took her and trashed her.. and dumped her in a side st in Broady..

Sorry to hear about this.

Is she real bad..

havent seen her yet.. but cops said shes bad.. such crap, cause was going to sell and had her in good condition...so angry..!

Kim, Thalia lives around the corner from us, not in broady. :ermm:

Bit of a worry but then personally I probably wouldn't care too much if my car was stolen, then I could buy another later model car  But, having it returned in 10 pieces isn't good :\

Last time I had a car stolen from the city and dumped in Melton with a lot of damage, I had to pay for the towing and the ar5ehole cops left fingerprint dust all through the car and I had to get it towed home AGAIN from the recovery centre and pay for that as well. And they also charged for storage if you didn't pick up the car straight away :\ BAH

Hopefully it's considered a writeoff so you get a nice payout & don't have to worry about the damage.. depending on the agreed value you could probably buy a GTR with the payout these days :) (32's aren't worth what they used to be!)

Yeh I know Kaz, at least had compo agreed value but only 9k plus the excess.. will get nothing back for her :) So angry that this happened in our area.. :(

9k!! Mic's is twice that.. he's better off crashing it..

After Scott had his car written off.. everytime there's some prick really dangerously tailgating me I'm so tempted to hit the brakes lol

Anyway that's bad.. this guy in Bundoora recently wrecked his skyline and he was up to like $10k when I was there and he still had half the car sitting there.. the entire shell and everything still. Might be worthwhile buying the wreck if you can but don't just take my word for it.

    • Yeh I think i'll message an old contact i had for ages that manages his own tyre shop now.. n tell him what i want n work with him before ordering..  Got this 17x9 +30 Driftteks on 245/45/17 PSR Drag Radials on the rear.. They fit well - for your reference in future - Rear guards  have been lipped in & minimal to non flaring of the rear Gaurds.
    • If only it were that easy! I also needed to remove seats, shocks, brake calipers, send my car through a fence, and use measuring and ended up guessing because I didn't remove seats, shocks and brake calipers. It can be hard sometimes Can be a little more complex than 'just measure' if you want to truly measure the entire wheel through all of it's suspension travel. But if you aren't going for every last mm then yeah, you can check the space you currently have and guesstimate.
    • If you own a car, and it has wheels on it, and you know the offset of those wheels, and you have a measuring device, you have everything you need to work out if other wheels will fit.
    • Will this fit? but they are staggered set - RAYS 57DR SEMI GLOSS BLACK 18x8.5 +37 | 18x9.5 +38 5-114.3 STAGGERED SET   or If no go could just get a set 4's wheels of 18x8.5 +37 5-114.3 - would i run 8.5's 235s up front n 245's at the back if I do?   Thanks.
    • Put a clamp on your return line. I have a feeling it's sucking air, and introducing bubbles to your fuel. With a lot of fuel, less problematic. I'd honestly be redoing all the lines in the tank and clamps on everything.   Also, you've given two different answers to the same question: Asked if being followed by the police you could get down to use the whole tank, you said yes you could, so long as you keep off boost. However, you then followed this up that free revving, it would also cause the issues. I'm doubting free revving is enough to make any noticeable boost on what is likely a decent sized turbo.   So now I have to ask, can you actually drive it lightly and use all the fuel, or does it break up even free revving? Also, have you put a fuel pressure gauge on it? Can you hear the pump change noise at all when you're having this issue?
