She Blows White Smoke. . .

Hey guys, last weekend I changed the piping for my FMIC kit, to replace some dodgy home made(previous owner) stuff with a premade kit brought through these forums. . .

Since then, the car intermittently blows white smoke. like when it is warming up, or at cold idle. It seems to go away once at operating temp.

I dont know why and man its keeping me up at night. Seems to still pull just as hard, isn't using any oil. . .

I did clean out the Cooler core with degreaser/water & compressed air, but have done 300+ k's since then and it still does it.

Do you think it's the degreaser burning off? stuffed turbo oil seals?

Any ideas?

next time just clean the cooler core out with some petrol.

if it was a turbo seal it would do it when it sat at idle for a while when warm.

it isn't just condensation?

I dont think its condensation because if I give it a rev it blows a cloud of smoke. . .

ok, well sounds like a seal on the turbo is gone. the car will still perform ok, but will just leak oil. but time for a new turbo.
