ye funcky

but i know if the standard doesnt come with a turbo

if u put turbo in it it will wreck the car sooner or later

thats why me thought of putting turbo in my fto but didnt act on it...coz the engine bay wont support and eventually it will kill the car:D

um, but the FTO never came in a turbo option. I was gonna do it to mine, because all you need is a few parts out of a GTSt, and a bit of labour and you've got yourself a conversion. eg: Meggala's car, started out exactly like mine (minus the LSD i think) and he turbo'd his. Now it goes like any other GTSt.

Its always an option. Spesh if you can't get your hands on a GTSt

funky monkey, where are you getting a plate now?

my was the last and it only cost me 2200 for the plate plus compliance. UPI were trying to get the last plates and im not sure if they got them or not, so they would be the only ones with unused plates.

well j-spec have a few they've "prebooked" at a couple of compliance center's but apparently the asking price for them (by the centers that have em) are above average.

There can't be a LAST r32 plate, they issue more every year. There's a certain amount they will issue and distribute amongst RAWS compliance centers.

yeah, were talking about different things. are they really 4k for the raws plates??? thats sh*thouse! i thought that it wasnt going to be more expensive. or at least that was what i was told.

yeah i was wondering how someone was planning on getting a car in complied before the cut off, but by the was the thread started i thought the the car was almost landed but just needed a plate.

    • PAR specifically offers stock ratios in their gearset and you could do whatever ratios are physically possible supposedly for no extra cost. I agree 6 ratios is better than 5, the factory 2nd gear is equivalent to the Getrag 2nd gear if you account for the differing final drive ratio though. The Getrag 3rd gear with a 3.916 final drive is equivalent to a 1.6 2nd gear in the FS5R30A. I'm about to swap the transmission out on my car, I'm tempted to send the one I have now out for rebuild with the standard "cross ratio" gearsets out there to see if it really makes such a big difference the next time I pull the transmission.
    • This is what I was looking at next:  https://www.z1motorsports.com/engines/tomei/tomei-rb26-28l-short-block-assemblies-p-45479.html as we can’t bore the cylinders out in hk so better just buy the whole lot in one and install then retune. Everyone saying the weak link are the bolts holding the rods together. I already did valve springs, arp head bolts, hks racing coils, nismo fuel pumps and pressure regulators, injectors etc for the top of the engine.
    • How do I mount this? Do you have any photos??
    • IMO I would stop there but it's up to you. At the power numbers you're asking about the stock 05U block will start showing issues. Even an N1 block might not be enough. PRP is trying to do blocks and heads that will be ready for big power right out of the gate but it remains to be seen whether any of that is any good. It might be great. It might be awful. It's hard to say until enough people have gotten their hands on one and run it for extended periods.
    • My whp was 418whp and 518hp crank on 98 octane fuel. So decent numbers.
