As it say want one of these 10k MAX preferably under and in MUST BE IN NSW with NSW RWC at least, preferably with redgo

Would like 180sx, same deal 10k max prefferably under. I want either of these two vehicles, not picky what ever comes up first. Silvia K would also be considered.

I don't get it ... you want a NA, but a Silvia K would be considered???

Also I think you should reconsider your options with that budget.

If you manage to find a NA R33 for under $10K it will be an absolute POS. Even then you may not have much luck...

A NA 180Sx will be even harder, as these were built from 1996 on and had better interior and round tail lights etc...

Heres a link to a R33 under 10k - http://carpoint.ninemsn.com.au/marketplace...o=1&chkRows=500

I got nothing against turbos i just know that a turbo skyline under 10k.......i would be dreaming..as for a POS under 10k...the link to that one says other wise i think it looks like quite a nice car. I am looking at a r32 tommorrow that fits my order perfectly.....will let you know how i go on that one. Reason for the criteria is basicly i have had alot of problems finding the car i want the most, a 180sx, so i opening up my options as i am partial to the looks of the skyline . So my budget is 10k and i stress the NSW part because i have come across many probs in my painful search for a Nissan import......which basicly is the basis of what i am looking for...some thing that is a nissan and looks sweet. With that said i dont want a N/A silvia. Will add another to the list.....a N/A 300zx. And yeah i have seen them close to my budget for that price aswell......but wrong state...that hopefully clears things up.

Ahhh that car is $9,990 PLUS compliance costs, which for R33's at present is not cheap at all! So there you have it!

Anyway, that place is very close to me, and I have personally seen many of his cars at the panel beater prior to being ready for sale. Yep, they all look good in the yard, but you have no idea of how they once were. This unfortunately is the case with many of the cheap imports on the market...

my 2c:

180's look sh1t compared to skylines and silvia's look even worse so you should narrow it down to a 'line...hehe

i actually looked at that skyline you linked to above about 2-3 months ago when i was looking for my car but the salesman was a d1ck and basically i didn't want a bar of him or his cars. It was about 14k by the time rego and compliance was added on.

i ended up with an r32gtst for 11k after extensive looking. it has genuine 95,000k's and engine+trans in good nick. interior is also v.good. The reason it was cheap was it has no spoiler, side skirts, stereo, and was key'd (about 30cm long) on drivers side.

Basically my point is that with the really bad used car market a car in mehanically good condition is available but you have to take your time and don't go for a 4cyl...

Have you considered a soarer? can get ok cond one for 12k thesedays...

Not complied! isnt it illegal to advertise a non complied vehicle........oh well, like i said i have found a nice sounding r32 gts and i am looking at it tonight. Soarers arent bad but i real keen on nissans, dont know why but they are just great cars. Will get back to on how i go with this line.

awesome man :D if you ever take it to the drags be sure to post up times because it would be interesting to see the difference between the r32 with its lighter weight compared to the r33 with the same engine.

I expect to see you posting in the NA forums now :)

cheers mate enjoy your car

It is absolutely imaculate it has one scratch on the body, but no panel damage, the scratch is from a car park, 17" silver mags (nice ones) i got it for $9400.....it is absolutely perfect, the interior is faultless..i'm very pleased.

    • Fark what are the changes of that snapping like that, clean. Nek minnit, custom radiator goes in, with built in oil cooler like those discontinued PWR ones from yesterdeacades ago
    • I thought I'd do a write up on an auto transmission fluid change for a the nissan 7 speed Automatic. At some stage the genius engineers decided that the fluid in the trans was "for the life of the transmission", (which seems kind of self supporting to me) and removed the dip stick and fill tube (funnily enough there is still a casting for it). Anyway, for this job you do need 2 specialist tools in addition to regular hand tools, jack and good chassis stands. You need a way to pump fluid up to the transmission; I got one of these but there are plenty of other options: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/364584087070 Don't trust the generic listing though, it does not come with the required adapter for the Nissan 7 Speed. You need one of these, can't do the job without it: https://navarapart.com.au/product/genuine-nissan-patrol-y62-d23-np300-navara-re7-dipstick-fill-connector1 You need a heap of compatible transmission oil. Could be Nissan, could be anything else rated for Nissan Matic S. You need at least 10 litres, I had 15 to give it a better flush... Also, you need some biiig oil catch trays, at least one of these, or bigger if possible (volume was fine, size was very marginal): https://autobarn.com.au/ab/Autobarn-Category/Tools-%26-Garage/Specialty-Tools/Oil-Service/Garage-Tough-Oil-Drain-Pan-Black-16L---GT1068/p/TO03191 Finally, a measuring jug is very useful if your pump does not have volumes marked on it, I got a 6l one: https://www.repco.com.au/oils-fluids/fluid-accessories/measuring-jugs/penrite-measuring-jug-6l-pmj006/p/A5322648 Oh, and gloves.....this stuff is horrible (not as bad as diff oil, but getting there) ....First, jack up your car.....
    • So I mentioned the apprentice, @LachyK helped take the bonnet off. We just undid the nuts on the hinges and unclipped the gas struts, then pulled the bonnet back a little as the front was catching on the front bar.  I had a good look at everything today and have removed the rams, repaired/reset the hinges and bolted it back together like it never happened. I'll do a separate write up on the repair, and I also removed the poppers from the Fuga today too to save grief down the road.....as said above it is at least $5k to repair retail. I'm also happier about my ability to prepare a race car, and less happy about Nis-nault's engineering (I can hear @GTSBoy sAfrican Americaning) because the top hose of the radiator didn't slip off.......it snapped clean off. By practice I put the hose clamp hard up against the flare on a neck to make it least likely to ever move (thanks @Neil!). I guess that puts a little more pressure on the end of the pipe as it is further away from the rad, but still, that is pretty shit. I've put it back on for now as there was a fair bit of neck still there, but obviously there is no lip on the neck any more so I don't think I'll track it again until I have a new rad. Speaking of which....more research required. It looks like Koyo makes a standard size radiator in ally which I'll grab in the meantime, but I really want something thicker so might have to go custom in the medium term (ouch) Coolant still needs a refill and I have the pressure tester on it over night, but other than a wash down of the engine bay it seems alright. And @MBS206 noted something noisy on the front of the engine and I think I agree....time for a new accessory belt and tensioners I think.
    • our good friends at nismo make a diff for it, I have one (and a spare housing to put the centre in) on the way. https://www.nismo.co.jp/products/web_catalogue/lsd/mechanical_lsd_v37.html AMS also make a helical one, but I prefer mechanical for track use in 2wd (I do run a quaife in the front, but not rear of the R32)
