guys, don't jump the gun, i'm pretty sure there might be a clash, cup day weekend on the sunday there is a passenger day at sandown (presidents day, or something like that) which is twice as close and...well...you get to go in porka's :D

jesus might be seen at sandown, hanging with a tall dark and extra handsome man, I think his name is all mighty Greg!

AAHAHAHA,

come to sandown you softess cockess, Deano might even get you a seat in a new toy :yucky:...can't promise anything though, as i'm calling shotgunssss

hahaha now you've really got me confused!

Be part of the tall, dark and handsome club, AND get to hang with the almighty Greg... and go in porsche goodness... OR see extra porsche goodness blasting around a super sexy hill climb event.

I may be persuaded with rides in super mega ultra turbo's... or is it a new new toy... JARGH

it's not really my place to say... Deano's old man was tired of teh nissan, and didn't want to track the 996..... i'll leave it up to your imagination, it's older, but still newish,

has a german acsent and it breathes for itself (NA). very cool too. :whistling:

there is already a few people with their hands up for moustache rides, so i wouldn't base your decision on which event to go to around a whim of a ride. i'm fairly certain deano has permission to stretch the s14's legs too. so the eye candy at sandown this sunday will be fantasmiktoricle.

If you decide to rock to my buller be sure to say hi to Jamie, he'll be blasting around up there with his old man.

I take it there is an RS nomenclature associated with said car... or perhaps GT... hmmmmm I wanna see it!!

So is the S14 getting sold??

Ahhh, I don't know what to do, too much good car stuff on at the moment!!

If I do Mt Buller I'll say hey to Jamie, which porsche will they be in?

S14 definately stays, i drilled dean and his old man that they have come too far to hand ball it off, dean knew this all along too, it's still an awesome machine.

I have no idea about jamie,

they have a fair few to choose from, you never know which one they'll take.

Last presidents day i was lucky enough to hitch a ride around sandown in his dad's 993 turbo it's got approx 400rwkw 240kph back straight, harnesses have never felt better to hang from under braking :D.

Edit: I now know what nomenclature means hahaha, mr vocab.

for those that care: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/nomenclature

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
    • If it (the code) wasn't still current, it should have gone away by itself by now. No, nothing it 10/10. But it is quite likely. Everything else to do with the ignition could still be responsible (which is wires and connectors). The car is an old piece of shit now, so all the wires and connectors are also old pieces of shit.
