Sounds like you are having the same problem as my brother...

Ok...deal is...Lights will turn on, stereo will work, hazard lights etc....your battery just doesnt have enough charge to kick the motor over...your battery doesnt have enough charge to do this and needs replacing...

I'd say your security alarm is draining the battery to much and your alternator has shat itself again..

Chris

K thanks man.

So best bet is to get the altenator fixed again, grab a fresh battery again... and disconnect the alarm all together...

money money money, never ends.

SUP GUYS.

just throwing it out there if anyone is up for a cruise. it will be later down the line.

ATM i am just getting an idea of who wants to come-a number thang.

atm its looking as either a fri-sat-sun, day or night event, leaving it open to debate.

:):)

my mod update, i have a safcII and a 3" dump pipe with seperate wastegate screamer pipe VTA on the way: ETA= this week :)

I am yet to attend a Skid pan day...would be good to get an idea of how many people would like to attend such an event and i would organise a day up in Gympie...pretty sure i can hook this up.

Only looking for around 12 people or so....$90 each...but plenty of time this way...

Yeh man I would be down for Gympie Skin Pan, I never done it, would be awesome fun!

im going to one in first week of september. tis $30 entry but there is alot of ppl there (45-50 entries) for the day and you need either cams or aasa licence. Still a fun day though! :)

You dont need a cams licence or a aasa, who told you that ?.Have you ever been to one of these?

They told me that and they were needed the past 2 times i've competed. I've been going every 3mths for about 2yrs now.

Though if they have a special event, i'm fairly sure the extra cost of the day includes extra insurance or something and that the extra licence isn't need. you'd have to check that!

sup guys just thought i'de add a couple of mods that i have recently got.

this week i finally got my Apexi SAFC. and my new dump/screamer pipe with a seperate vta wastegate pipe. this coming tuesday the SAFC will be installed by autobarn.

and by the end of this week i will hopefully take the dump pipe to the muffler men to fit it. while doing this i will get a 3" H/F cat installed (only $30 extra).

so by next tuesday everything will be pimpin'

the only mods i have left to do is= TURBO/ TUNE-UP/FUEL PUMP &REGULATOR, twin/triple plate clutch with an OS Giken flywheel and nothing else. time to enjoy cruising in it :)

:)

Your mad getting any sort of controller installed at autobarn. do yourself a favour and get someone else to put it in for you.I know such a person who is very good with nissans here on the coast , but im prob to late to mention this to you.

yeah, it should be right. im getting cameron to do it.

i went ova with him exactly wat i wanted and, he has done it to an r33 before, has experience.

and will only cost $60.

also he will tune the safc for me( as good as possible without a dyno)

but if it doesnt work, ill give u a buzz :(:(

Yeah no worries. I know cameron but i guess he must have a few skills, ive seen some stuff fitted pretty rougly from autobarn's on the coast, thats why i suggested someone else.I wouldnt get him to tune unless you have air/ fuel gauge, just get it done on dyno safer that way .But anyway up to you.

yeah, i do have a af gauge, and i will only get him to tune in the settings, i have to find a place to dyno it, which is almost impossible on the coast. no good tuners here for a good prices.

B-Dog,

You should be ok with Cameron....He's not bad....If he cant do it, he will tell you...might take a while though...he sorta learns on the way...

Don't get it tuned at Autobahn....take it to a Dyno and get it done...more than happy to go with you..

Latest mod = Apexi Pod Filter, sounds like a V8 with a turbo...Psssssssst...wooooossh.... Big pimping...heaps more power...

Looking forward to the custom Allo box this weekend bro.. Need ur help.

Talk soon.

    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
    • I don't get in here much anymore but I can help you with this.   The hole is a vent (air relief) for the brake proportioning valve, which is built into the master cylinder.    The bad news is that if brake fluid is leaking from that hole then it's getting past the proportioning valve seals.   The really bad news is that no spare parts are available for the proportioning valve either from Nissan or after market.     It's a bit of a PITA getting the proportioning valve out of the master cylinder body anyway but, fortunately, leaks from that area are rare in my experience. BTW, if those are copper (as such) brake lines you should get rid of them.    Bundy (steel) tube is a far better choice (and legal  in Australia - if that's where you are).
