only 9 days until christmas. and the police have already stepped up their presence. me and mates in 1 night counted...4 undercover cars= gold aurion, green/yellow aurion, 380, and black BA. and have the plates for all.

plus 2 paddy wagons, 2 squad cars and a couple of bikes.

qld police... keeping the roads safe by forcing cars/drivers off the road

a) Obey the law....end...

Doesn’t happen even if you do obey the law.

Once a Police officer has picked you out from the pack, it will never end. I’ve had my license for only 5 years and I can’t shake any past stigmas Police may have formed about me when I was 17.

It started over how the officer (in his opinion) believe my old man shouldn’t have bought me a skyline for my first car, so we reported him for harassment as he wouldn't leave me alone (see also following me home and opening my electric gates to make sure I was "home for the night). Which started a chain reaction, they do something, and I take the legal avenue and win, so they do something back.

I’m still paying the price for doing that, I can’t drive down the street without being picked on in cars that aren’t even stand outish!

Regardless of what you own or drive, the Sunshine Coast Police are all on a power trips and pick on anyone who comes across as privileged be it true or not.

+1 thats quite a story.. u should film it when they follow u home.

I find the best way to avoid trouble with the boys and girls in blue is to do the following:

1) Don't own an import

2) If you do own an import, do the following:

a) Obey the law....end...

thats in an ideal world man.

but most of us here not only like our rides, but like to modify them. now if we do those things how can we in all seriousness consider ourselves tuners or modifiers...or as the popo say ''hoons''.

now im not saying STOP MODDING YOUR RIDES. just when u do.. be smart about it...keep the industry going. go out later at night.. have 'listenening' technology. keep mods hidden, have scout cars etc.

now my parents brought me up to stand up for myself and im sure many of u are the same. So why should we back off with our shit just because the popo bully us into submission??

Meh,.. i dont like cops,. only when they pick on you,. sometimes its hard to imagine arguing with them,. you could never sometimes win.. abusing the force that they hold is what i hate.

but to be honest,. im sure they are just doing their job,. trying to make the road safer.

I may not like cops but that doesn't mean i hate them... like they say,. obay the law and everyone's happy.

you drive a defectable vehicle ( like myself,. gladly i never get pulled up ) and get pulled up,. then pay the price for not abiding with the law.. its just as simple.

Im glad to say,. my import days are over.. no more cautiously looking for any coppa's while cruising around..! i can simply drive my shit box everyday without worrying for a defect or impounding my supra.. YAY..!

ah you ended up selling ur supra? congrats.

well they arent doing their jobs.. i have been pulled over coutless times for nothing, they do their best to defect me or book me for something. ive heard of many stories of getting booked for stupid things like wind screen wipers not working properly, not indicating out of a round-a-bout etc. like sure there may be the rare normal cop who doesnt know wat he's doing and will just do a little check up and let u pass on by, but there are way too many dick heads that need a good kick in the ass.

    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
    • I don't get in here much anymore but I can help you with this.   The hole is a vent (air relief) for the brake proportioning valve, which is built into the master cylinder.    The bad news is that if brake fluid is leaking from that hole then it's getting past the proportioning valve seals.   The really bad news is that no spare parts are available for the proportioning valve either from Nissan or after market.     It's a bit of a PITA getting the proportioning valve out of the master cylinder body anyway but, fortunately, leaks from that area are rare in my experience. BTW, if those are copper (as such) brake lines you should get rid of them.    Bundy (steel) tube is a far better choice (and legal  in Australia - if that's where you are).
    • EMU Classic. For what I need it to do I see no reason to upgrade. Link and Haltech would both cost an extra chunk of money for a lot of unutilized features
