KPGC10 racing history on DVD (w00t) and V36 Skyline review by MotorFan (includes pics, specs, comparisons etc on the new model).

hehe should make for a really big stack when the second package arrives in the next couple of days with 11 more HyperRevs :)

V36?? it looks like the Nissan Fuga.......

why the hell don't we get that gorgeous car here anyway........

hehe Nissan in their infinite wisdom decided it wasn't marketable here.

Its sold in japan as direct competition to the Lexus IS300, Toyota Mark X and BMW 3 Series

Anyways, some quick pics... I'll try and get a complete scan of the mag up later:

The ads are clearly marketed at guys in the late 20's and early 30's as a sophisticated car.

How much are you getting these mags in for? You can just buy them at Kinokuniya (Option2, GTR magazine, Hyper revs etc) but its pretty pricey.

I only buy GTR magazine now and its just gone up to $37 an issue (1400 yen cover price). I think option is cheaper.

Option mags are around 500 yen a pop and the motorfan one was 385 yen. Shipping is about 1500 yen per mag or something like that, depending on size n weight. So an option mag comes to about $25 delivered to my doorstep.

The Hyperrevs I did as part of the group buy cost $40, plus postage from my place to wherever in oz, unless you pick it up.

I also found that with mags n stuff the local shops only sell em a few weeks after they hit the shelvefs in japan (eg: Option mag Feb issue is already in my hands) and half the time extras like stickers or pullouts etc are missing.

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
