I was having a chat to the guys at DC imports the other day, and he reckons that there have been almost 70 stag's complied for WA now, so I want to know where they are all hiding? In the last 18 months I have only seen about 4 or 5 on the road.

BTW, the thought of going on a cruise with 10 other stageas has me grinning like a lunatic

i know of a fair few around that arnt in on the cruise, i seen a red series 1 that works at beldon route 66, though wildcat has had some issues with him so i not gonna ask him to come along unless she doesnt care, and also one outside Golfbox and a few other shops along joondalup drive up towards Bunnings, etc, and thats a series 2 white one. ive also seen a yellow s2 around beldon area alot with a young guy driving but ive never seen him parked up so no chance to have a chat or nothing. theres a white one around mindarie area with personalized plates, though i cant remember what they say and then theres the red one with STAGEA plates owned by one of the guys on these forums though he doesnt post often.

ive seen heaps of them lately its alarming

yea i occasionally see a red stagea with a 'FULLY SIK' car decal sticker on the rear window along alexander drv when im dropping the kids off at day care...maybe if i spot her again i'll flag her down and get additional members for the cruise...more the merrier

hi guys..only got until tomorrow to vote for your preferred date  we are waiting on a few ppl to cast their votes for this

looks like this will be a cruise from south to the hills then through to the chocolate factory, through swan valley to whiteman park for lunch--will be alot more driving then stopping

first meet point (which is hopefully ok for the southies) is looking like the train station off the kwinana freeway on south street?!

i was thinking of doing the zig zags in the hills but i dont think we would be able to get the stageas through there without doing lots of three point turns :glare:

ladies and gents we have a tie for the date..being jan 28th (not sure if its double demerits of not still) and the 11th Feb

what do you guys what to do...make it for feb so every one will be able to make it with cars arriving etc or jan?? i guess this will be a difficult one cause its half and half

Flip a coin?

I voted for the 28th, but only because I'm keen to meet all you fine people in Stagea land, so I can wait another week or so I suppose.

Just my 2 cents

Hmmm I still rekon 28th Jan would be best. Part of the (Australia Day) Long weekend. I think that some of us will be ready for a cruise and have plenty to talk about. Especially me if my car arrives in time. I think Feb just seems too long away, (even though it's only a couple of weeks more).

More people may not be able to make it during the long weekend if they go away for the break - not much happening in February.

More chance of me going in Feb as our 2nd child is due any day now, so the longer the better - but I am merely one of many

good point! long weekend = family plans and commitments, i vote for Feb or why not today :stupid:

    • It was a great, but typical track day, and some VB was ingested at the night time debrief 🤪
    • And so, to round this out, I couldn't be happier to confirm @MBS206 has decided to buy the car. He drove down from sunny QLD with a trailer last week and it is off to its new home today. I'll let Matt confirm on next steps but I understand broadly that the plan is to leave it pretty much as is, and just get some quality wheel time with a nicely balanced car that is pretty much track ready. There are a few a jobs still to be done first but nothing too major and I think its a very smart buy Dinner last night at the Paragon with a round of VBs (mostly) for Neil
    • Well, 50 pages and the end of a chapter for this car. We took it out for a shakedown at Wakie yesterday, and everything went well. There were a couple of niggles: - Oil cooler fitting leak - tightened, cleaned, stopped leaking - Radiator cap overflow fitting was leaking....Mark called it, the overflow fitting was threaded in and not tight....tightened, tested and held pressure - Small oil leak at the rear of the block, probably the turbo oil feed - too hot to get at it comfortably but probably just needs to be nipped up - leak at the driver's side rear brake line where it meets the hardline. Fitting wasn't loose, so Matt backed it off and back on, no further leaks - there's also a leak somewhere on the top of the fuel tank, maybe that cross over fuel line - that was has been left to fix when its on a hoist Otherwise than those niggles the car went great, turned great and stopped great so it was a very successful day out. I'm always really nervous when a car first hits the track after a long break, especially with a brand new engine as well but it was great. VID-20251011-WA0007.mp4  Big thanks to @The Bogan who dropped by and helped out, @MBS206 and my nephew Lachlan the apprentice.  Neil's wife Mel also surprised the hell out of all of us by dropping by; she's up in Tamworth these days but was travelling to Melbourne so had plausible deniability for turning up at the garage, it was great to see her but also obviously a bit sad all round.

    • Unsolicited advice? Keep the engine as close to stock as you can. Nothing wrong with adding some boost and making a little more power, but given where you are, you really don't want to try to make it into a monster. I can't imagine the roads are up to it, and the lack of locla support when it grenades will be a ball ache. FWIW, If there is a dyno around that you can access, then brand new injectors are a good idea, which will lead you to (at least) putting a Nistune in it, which will allow you to put an R35 AFM on it, all of which will make it possible to make it much much nicer to drive and live with.
