Air Con Compressor Fan

my air con compressor fan doesnt work... but i read somewhere on these forums that theres a sensor in the radiator but because i had a major accident a few months ago it may have been damaged or what... where can i get a new one and how much will it cost me.... OR is that not the problem ...

The sensor is a thermo switch. So the fan only comes on when the engine starts to get a bit too warm.

To test the fan, I think you can simply disconnect the plug from that sensor (the plug is near the top driver's side of the radiator), then bridge the 2 terminals (engine running, of course).

i know it only comes on when its hot etc... but it doesnt come on even when i thrash the shit outa it... but in cabbin my temp gauge always shows that its cooling well etc its always under 4... never over sometimes halfway between 0 and 4 and only when i go hard it climbs to 4 then drops down again... could it be because of this????
