SABBAi
Hi all, I'll looking at getting my Momo steering wheel retrimmed, as it has started to pull away at the join line. I'm wondering if there is anywhere locally that can do this? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/145373-upholstery-retrimmers/ Share on other sites
sammus
car trims in burwood did a good job on my bits. they're near the corner of toorak road and wattlevalley road, and their logo is a red corvette. dunno how SE you are though so burwood may or may not be good. FLYSLY
Mate im an upholsterer and i know a really really good trimmer if you want his number let me know. But like somone else has said it is not cheap, steering wheels are very fiddly and time consuming, like a lot of trimming in cars. I do a little bit of trimming here and there mainly for myself as i really dont like doing it, i much prefer doing my usual stuff couches etc... Mines all crappy and old and faded.. I'm just looking for a stock look. I can take out the dash and bring it to him/you/whoever if needbe. FLYSLY
Hey fozice, Like i said: id personally prefer not to do it, but my mate is extremely good at trimming id say one of the best in melbourne, if you take out the dash yourself he would do it no problems, and id say it wouldnt be too expensive as the 32 dash is fairly straight forward and he has done a few before. If you want his number pm me and ill give it to you. Otherwise try the dash doctor i think it is Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/145373-upholstery-retrimmers/#findComment-2723199 Share on other sites
SABBAi
Any names and numbers of retrimmers would be great. The wheel I've got cost close to $550 secondhand, as it is a Group A wheel. So if I can get it trimmed for less than that, I'm in front. sloutch
Hey guys, sorry to bring up an old thread, used the SEARCH function and this is what i stumbled upon. I am looking for someone that can 'repair' / 'retrim' my passenger side's carpet. I live in the city so areas like Knox or Scoresby is kind of out of the way. I'm talking about the carpet of the car and not the mat? Or is $160 for the whole interior carpet??
