i was on the pacific highway and these hoons went out of the way to stop on either side of me (so we were all first at the lights across 3 lanes) they were reving their cars and pumping the doof, so i thought ***it and i reved the car right up (damn noisy, then blow off noise) when the lights changed they both hammered it and i took off from the lights as slow as i could.

anyway one of the cars (an old shit commonwhore) ran over the concrete median strip and headed towards on comming trafic. so their mates in the pulsar slowed down to c what happend and i just crused past them at 50 in a 60 zone, then when i was turning right off the highway towards my house, they drive by beeping their horns and shouting some shit out the window.

What Tossers! i didn't need to drag them, they new i had won it before the lights had turned green.

anyway thats my first encounter with tossers on the road, there have been heaps of other people beeping and giving thumbs up in approval, (especially other skyline owners) :D:)

anyone else have stories like this? where people have been dicks on the road because their car is not as good or becuase u won't race them? or something similar?

anyway thats the end of my rant.

On another note, it has taken me 2 weeks but i finally have worked out the car and can control it pretty well :(

you'll never escape the dickheads....

Its funny coz they sounded like bums, but i hate it when i line up against something nice, like another import, and they rev like they wanna drag, so i take off and they just sit there! Make me waste my clutch and stress my driveline! That pi**es me off! Also when i rev at someone to race, and look to see if they are interested, they just act like they dont know im there, they must have slow cars... :D

Its wicked when you come up against a worthy car, a quick rev, a nod from the guy, and its on! Both cars staging their revs and focussed on the traffic lights, awesome rush, the build up just before you dump the clutch... :burnout: oh yeah :(

have you found out what mods your car has yet?

just a word of advice, don't get too c0cky and confident. it usually bites you in the ass.

happy to hear you're enjoying the car.

two40: i agree with you totally, i am lucky because i am still learning manual, so i know my limits. even when i was driving they old 230 merc, i NEVER had a drag unless it was a straigt (at least 120 corners) road and i could see a long way ahead. epping road was a fav :D long dips so u could see ages ahead, m2 toal gates were another :(

Epping road is sweet, especially during the early hours of the morning!

Yeah the dips are sweet, but i always get a bit edgy coming up to the peaks! coz you cant see whats over the other side!

Everytime i take a taxi, i ask them about the spped camera thing, and so far they have all said that they NEVER have seen a camera there. Thats pretty cool but these days you never know!

a5h, you have 2 BOV's?? where are they mounted, what type are they, and do they go off at exactly the same time?

Im also a fan of Epping road! The part just before you get to Epping is nice when theres no traffic, you can scream up that windy hill! Coming back down however is suicidal!

-not seen speed cam either

i have 2, i will take a photo and show u, the first one is the stock one, but it pipes into a T with the second blow off valve then they both go into the engine? The HKS blow off valve (i think) is mounted just after the intercooler? or after the intake? i cant remember i havn't really looked at it properly yet!

yeah epping road is good, maybe there are no cameras because it is unsafe? i was pulled over by an unmarked cop car tho!

what anoys me is just over the crest of one of the hills is a set of traffic lights, and they are ALWAYS RED!!!! :D anyway!!! :(

Hi guys

This thread should be renamed EPPING ROAD! spot on about the trafic lights, they ARE always red over the hills!! hey you guys seen a dark coloured 33 with 19inch bronze lenso mags, and i think a twin post wing? i seen this car from a distance, looked tough! I tried to follow it to have a chat but he lost me through the back of macquarie uni!

i had a really good run a couple of weeks ago with a new 200sx spec R

he reved at the lights, i reved, he gave a nod and said lets go, traffic lights go green we both floor it he was reving it pretty hard but i absolutly blew him away, so much so that i think he must have missed a gear. after 400m or so i turned off and waved to him for a good run and for some reason the dickhead in the passanger seat yelled something out and they flew past me??????????? what is it with ppl like this?

it was a fare run i dont understand why they done this?

why couldnt they just aknowledge my win and say bye?????

    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
    • Nah, that is hella wrong. If I do a simple linear between 150°C (0.407v) and 50°C (2.98v) I get the formula Temperature = -38.8651*voltage + 165.8181 It is perfectly correct at 50 and 150, but it is as much as 20° out in the region of 110°C, because the actual data is significantly non-linear there. It is no more than 4° out down at the lowest temperatures, but is is seriously shit almost everywhere. I cannot believe that the instruction is to do a 2 point linear fit. I would say the method I used previously would have to be better.
