Any chance you can get "inspired" to put 19inch LMGT4 in Silver, always wanted to know how it will look on a BB GTR.

From memory, I believe I already have some pics of silver 19" LMGT4 on bayside blue GTR.

Will have a hunt around tonight and post them up for you.

Hi all, its just an edited photo. I wanted to see how it looked if I did go down the path.

Playing with ideas at the moment.

DO IT! haha...

thats basically what mine will look like when im done, except for TE37sl's instead of LMGT4s... oh and yellow of course....

you dont want to edit it to yellow so i can get a feel for it ha? i might try later tonight when i get home

Agree BB would look great with 19" LMGTs but I have seen a few BB 34s that are a bit flat, or have mis-matching panels - look again closely at the Mines' one above; differences between tail lights and boot / bumper... the paint really needs to have been looked after (not faded; regularly polished and a good wax used) to give its best IMO. Then, it really stands out.

I know what you mean. A few of the BB ones I saw while shopping had actually lost their depth of colour a bit. They were not as vibrant as they should be.

I've previously taken notice of the common BB colour mismatch on the rear (as described above). I have always thought this was beacuse the paint sets differently on the bumper and taillights (plastic) to the bootlid (metal). Mainly visible in photos or from certain angles / light.

If you get a sec, please clarify - are you saying that the paint on the mines one above looks like it has not been given the love it deserves?

Cheers mate.

Haha. If that middle pic I posted is anything to go by, and with my nitpicking cap on, that paint match is atrocious. Can't say that I wouldnt have that car though!

I seem to remember there being a thread floating around SAU or maybe another forum a while back when someone was inspecting a BB BNR34, suspected rear damage due to paint not matching at the rear; pics were posted, vendor got involved, accusations were made that pics were doctored, got to the point where someone actually used image-doctor detection software to tell if the image was shopped... All this bru-haha when it's quite possible that the paint just came that way from the Nissan factory??

Thanks mate. Was curious because thats how mine is, I didnt know if it was because the paint had been mistreated at some point in its life for an extended period of time. My bootlid is slightly darker than the rest of my rear.

Now that is just pure sex

Glad you like them.

Terry_GT-R34's got me thinking now though. Would be fantastic to see a whole group of bayside blue GTR's together in some pro photos. I've never seen that before.

We should also ask Chris (Chris06-R) to join us, his R34 GTR is also BSB and very photogenic. That would make it an even 5.

Anyway, while looking for those pics for mclarenf1, I found this BSB GTR dumped on TE37's in my pic stash too, thought i'd share.

Correct. I did see the rear diffuser had been removed from the car.

Wouldnt want to crack that. Many $$$$ gone.

There is a guy called Stephen on here that actually owns a BSB 34 GTR with white TE37's on it - looks immaculate.

Had to dig up the pics for completions sake.

Amazing car, still in original condition apart from the rims.

It is crazy, how a set of rims can completely change the look of a car.

    • Yeah I've had too many issues with knock off's on the BMW's. I don't want to do a job twice or more because the parts are shit.
    • I read this and thought "ah! I will do this scissor jack on the tow point thing!" I just use my floor/low profile/costco jack and lift the car up by the tow hook itself, then slide jack stands under. Never thought about using scissor into floor jack combo :p
    • Well, my new WMI system took much longer to finalize. I actually missed my dyno appointment last Friday and lost my 150$ deposit. I'll be going back in the next week or two.  To sum it up. I only kept the AEM tank from my old setup. I replaced the AEM pump with a higher flow/pressure ProMeth 30GPH pump. I also swapped over to a 6AN low pressure feed line to the pump from the tank. There's also a pressure switch you cannot see on the pump high pressure line.    This is feeding 6x 200CC direct port nozzles and 1x 500CC Pre Throttle body nozzle. All fittings are Swagelok, because well why not. I also have a 300PSI pressure sensor up front.    I now have my Haltech ECU controlling everything. I start my pump with a basic relay at 5PSI and deadhead it. I then PWM a 3000CC methanol Injector to control flow starting around 10psi. The pressure switch in the trunk, along with my tank level are safeties before I ever get to 10PSI, and then I use my pressure sensor upfront as a secondary safety to cut the WMI and corrections in case the injector blocks or a line ruptures.  Wish me luck on the dyno!
    • So, I'm back with bad news. There's no jack long enough on this planet that will reach the front subframe. If by some chance there is, it would weigh 200lb's.  I purchased a long reach jack... The damn thing weighted 120lb's and was massive. Didn't even come close, was still short at least a foot. It was a pain, but I brought it back. Next I decided HA! No problem, I'll get an Extra long reach jack. Well, I couldn't lift the box... It must have weighed 160LB's and luckily there was an open box in store. I took measurement and was still nowhere close.  Sadly I've lost hope and have accepted defeat.
    • Thanks for that tip, niZmO_Man. I think the battery is OK. It's quite a new one, but I'll check. Last time I needed a new battery, everything electronic was fine, except that there wasn't enough current to turn over the starter. I decided to order one of the partial AV system translation CDs from Car Audio Workshop in NZ. That might have some effect, or help me diagnose the date problem. 🤞
