I really need your help,

I’ve problem at my Engine (RB26DETT) its mixing water and oil inside the radiator and I already change the block because I’ve other block and I cancelled turbo oil line and water to see if from turbo but still mixing, so I need your help my dears maybe it happened to some one before.

Best Regard.

Yeah it can be a sign of a blown head gasket or a cracked head. Have you overheated it at all? Need to do a Co2 test and compression test perhaps.

Deren

Then again it could just be the heat exchanger sandwiched between your oil filter and the block...Doubt it but it could be.

Well dear, I have the same thing and have been told it could be little O rings inside a rail looking thing near the injectors that apparently houses air and water chambers...... I could be way of dear, as it may be another problem I was being explained about.

There have also been problems with the oil cooler that sits on the block next to the oil filter, it may have a crack.

But it sounds like its time to drop it by a mechanic. hope its not too dear

I already changed the oil cooler next to the oil filter and the engine block.

I want to ask you the head gasket if damaged I think the mixing should be inside engine, Am I right?. :ninja:

I am thanking you for your reply

generally the main cause of this is either a blown head gasket, or a crack in the head.

i had to replace a head on ford laser the other weak that had a hole in the head. the oil and water looked like someone had drained them out and filled them with ice coffee.

It could be all of the above as well as a cracked block . A compression and a leakdown test will confirm any headgasket /cracked head or cracked block and even pinpoint where it is .

a coolant pressure test may reveal your problem as well.. The cheapest option would be a leaking cooler sandwich, next a headgasket, just because its metal it can still leak ( actually that could be your problem if not correctly torqued ) ..

    • The fancy pants red shock tower brace is finally incoming from MX5 Mania, getting it shipped from 'Merica has been a long and problematic process, and GWR, the 'Merican supplier will not ship directly to consumers outside of the US, Mania basically had to order a heap of them, the colour choice was silver, or red, and we all know anything red adds 5 killerwasps of dynotorques..... Whilst it does fit over a 2.5, and I've seen a few photos and videos of it being installed and fitting, google also says it might get real close to the FAB9 intake front runner, people in the US says it does fit with the FAB9 intake, except for one person who said it slightly touched.......so there is that.....LOL..... As it seems that I am the first in AU to have this combination of parts there's no local knowledge about fitment, so I'm just a willing guinea pig in this endeavour, I'll cross my fingers and toes and hope for the best In other news, I ordered stuff from China  on the same day I ordered the 23° silicone bend from Victoria, the stuff from China arrived a day ago, the 23° silicone bend is still travelling around Australia thanks to Australia Post, and "may" be here next week
    • Very good news...I contacted Racebox about it last night. My car is a 2016 so remains to be seen if it is compatible, requires a TCU swap, or is impossible.
    • What ECU are you running? This is probably the biggest question. If it's a PowerFC, I'd probably change the ECU and get something newer that will handle the injectors in a nicer way.
