Has anyone had their guards pumped?

i wanna know what they turned out like? photos?

how much? and where?

is it like the cars in japan where they keep putting fibre glass on it to make it look fatter or does it literally get pumped by beating it out or something lol

uses a guard roller

yeh chances are teh paint will crack.

stage 1 is rolling out the inner lip

stage 2 would be bringing the guard out a little and lipping the guard

stage 3 would be actually pumping it out as much as possible.

anything other than stage 1 would crack the paint heat gun or not

DMD, that who clearly did this car cause he is the owner of the business

but i dont know off a few other company's that do it, there one guy that does it out of his van at ur house....

cost $200 for a mild pump

Thats the DMD front bar im planning to get. Do guards need to be pumped out for that front bar? Also is a new bonnet required or will that front bar fit the std 34 Gt-t bonnet.

Heres a pic of my car, wen the guards were getting done. Its a GTR add-on guard extensively modified to look seemless. And is about 2 inches wider than stock. (Note rear wheels are 18x10" +16 offset with 265 tyres.)

I will post pics of the complete car painted, wen i get it back from the mechanics.

  • 3 weeks later...

I had my Stock 32 Gaurds pumped and flared. They actually cut the metal inside the wheel arch and re welded an extra peice in to get it out further. Added about 1 and a half inches. This way definitly need a new paint job though so if you dont wanna spend big bucks i wouldnt reckomend it.

    • Plan on the day will be to park trackside. Depending on space availability we will try put a small shade tent and a few of the cars on top of the hill inside turn 3, this is an easy to get to parking area with views of Turn 2, Turn 3, Turn 4 and Turn 5 and limited other pieces of the view around the track. IMPORTANT NOTE! One consideration from previous years is from memory the trackside parking sells out before the admission tickets, for that reason I encourage anyone planning on coming to buy tickets for parking now via the official website; https://www.worldtimeattack.com/ The type of parking you are looking for is 2 Day Park & View (Access Around Venue) Vehicle Pass Only Please note this does not include admission to the event itself, remember to grab that also, and kids under 12 get in for free!
