im getting my cooler put on tommorow... and it has been arranged for them to make up a flange for the blitz bov. i really love the sound of the SSQV, and it would be a good opportunity to swap it out now, before they weld the flange... if i saw this tommorow night, i wouldnt bother at all, and would be keeping the blitz.

its in pretty much perfect condition man... but of course you can tell its been used, but im sure yours isnt exactly perfect either, and there is absolutly nothing wrong with it.

Well then dude, where are u, we can hook up tomoz morning sometime for a geeze n we'll go from there. So swap an 100 with pipe eh? I'll give the pipe to my mate he needs anew 180 pipe anyway cos his blitz BOV has the blitz mount but he wants a spare with a normal mount aswell. I am in croydon, near ringwood where are u?

im not very far... in Balwyn, near Doncaster

the bov is at the mechanics, in richmond. hmm... i dont have a car at the moment, so i cant go pick it up! stuff it, ill give you $360 cash for it... and you can bring it around tommorow morning? ill just sell the blitz. deal?

K $360, only prob is its on my car so do u have spanners to remove it?? Cos if you don't i will need to go to a mates house first cos i lent my sidchromes out to a mate. Can't use a socket wrench on it cos where it mounts hard to get to bottom bolt. Let me know if u have the spanners otherwise i'll have to go there first on the way.

K dude, as long as u have spanners between 8-12mm then its all good, i'll try and get it off here tho instead to make it easier, what time u want me to come round cos i am currenty doing a custom stereo for a mates car and have only a day left to do it so i need to be snappy to save me some time :(:) But hsould be all good.

yeah got PM, as i said BOV is on its own, uses factory mount on my intake manifold piping next to throttle body, so no middle pipe needed, just gunna have to bolt my stock BOV back on for now and swap vaccum lines. But don't worry i'll do it here before i come over. I'll be there around 10.30?

my bad luck.

will look for another offer next time.

please pass on to any1 you know that is selling a HKS BOV SSQ, IZG-00D is looking to buy one. Has to be in perfect/immacute condition as much as possible (second hand)

thanks guys

Sorry jlnewton... popped up at the right time i spose and was a lot easier fro me bein gin Adeliade, was a 20 min drive to drop it off  Sorry dude if i can get hold of another i will. I can get hold of a brand spanking new HKS Racing BOV on a pipe for 180sx but can be removed and remounted, for 350 if anyone is interested, once again is more exspensive than the SSQ. People interested let me know, i'll make a new post for it.

    • Oil change does not trigger code 21. Code 21 is for coilpacks primary side connection. You can try to clear the code with a battery disconnect, hold down the brake pedal to drain capacitors through the brake lights with the ignition on for 10-15 seconds before you reconnect the battery. I have seen R35 coil conversion permanently cause this code with no ill effects so it might be the resistance it wants to see isn't quite right on one or more coilpacks. Could be inside the ECU, could be the harness, could be a coil. You can test it all if you want or just ignore until the car actually starts misfiring.
    • I forgot you have a Nistune ECU. Use Nistune to do all the tests I mentioned instead of faffing with 30+ year old electrical connectors. You can read MAF volts off that too, there are reference values in the service manual to tell you roughly what it should be in different conditions.
    • No. I think it might be the AFM. Hence the use of the terms "swaptronics", which implies the use of swapping out electronics for the purpose of diagnosis. It's about the only way to prove that a small/niggling/whatever problem with an AFM or a CAS or similar is actually caused by that AFM/CAS/whatever. A known good item swapped in that still gives the same problem is likely to be caused somewhere else. They're all the same. Spraying AFMs with cleaner is an each way bet between cleaning it and f**king it.
    • Oh wow! This might actually work amazingly. Do you know the ratio of the diff? I was told the only thing you need to make sure of is if the front & rear diff ratios are the same. Ours is a 4.083 Thanks!
    • You think its the AFM? I know its a common issues on R32s. I find it coincidental how this issue raised right after cleaning the fuel system. As everything except the fuel system was fine before. I tried running it with the IACV unplugged but did not notice a difference and still stalled. However, the RPM gauge is not in the cluster right now, so I will need to connect the laptop again and use Nistune to check the RPM. I will check this weekend.
