that wide body 32 looks shit with the wing and rims

if the dude can afford a genuine veilside wide body kit

I'm sure he can buy some decent rims to suit.

I have seen your car at many events and think it looks shit as well, if you can afford to put GTR panels on it im sure you could have afforded to just buy a GTR in the first place?

Youre allowed to your own opinion, but in my opinion, you went about this one completely the wrong way.

Either way, I personally know the owner and I know for a fact he is happy with his car which is all that matters.

P.S: Those rims (unless changed) are genuine Veilside and cost more than you can possibly imagine and suit the car very well, but ill pass on your comments that he should make a trip to Tempe for you since the wheels on his race car dont appease the bling masses.

hahahahaha are you his puppet or something?

let me clear something up for you champ

you don't know what i paid for my car

or what i paid to put the panels on

or why i put the panels on.

also my rims aren't from Tempe

if you took time to look at what my rims actually are you wouldn't open your mouth

they are genuine AMEs made in JAPAN with rubber were worth more than 8K

Ive seen a much better example of the same kit with the stock front bar and stock GTR wing

which suits the lines of the car a lot more than what hes done with this blue one.

the GAME OVER sticker is a tempe tyres thing

Thankyou for your valued input, it is so nice to get some positive feedback from someone intelligent like yourself.

The car in question has been fully built by myself and has made to date 727.5hp and counting on pump fuel and took out this years Summernats 6cyl turbo class and also Horsepower heroes 2nd runner up over all categories.

I am not a cheque book racer and enjoy doing it myself.

Some people like it some don't, but at least i can say that i did it myself and didn't just buy someone elses car and call it my own.

If you would like any advice on where to go to get stuff done please don't hessitate to ask

well then we have something in common

apart from paint and trim work i did everything on my car myself too

i am a mechanic by trade (and grew up in the panel beating industry)

so everything on the car I've had a lot of involvement with

and i have had a hand in quite a few show/street cars.

so i know quite a bit when it comes to building high quality cars.

congrats on the award that power is fantastic

only thing IMO that ruined a great body kit is that wing and the rims.

With such an aggressive stance the rims should be an inch or two bigger

and a more modern style to match the wide body kit.

the wing just doesn't flow with the cars lines as i said before a GTR wing would be perfect.

the reason why this kit works so well with the car is because its almost factory looking

and doesn't destroy the classic lines of the R32

if you happy with it the way it is thats great and that all the really matters

but i just voiced my opinion thats all.

you don't know what i paid for my car

Nor do I care... its your car not mine

or what i paid to put the panels on - or why i put the panels on.

See above

And if you looked at what rims his actually were you wouldnt open your mouth and realise they are genuine made in JAPAN with rubber worth probably the same amount... yet youre allowed to question his finances saying he needs to spend more on rims, yet im not allowed to make a similar comment back? Sounds like a classic case of you can dish it and cant take it in return.

You make stupid comments, you should expect to get stupid replies. Something like "I dont like his choice of wheels" probably would have gotten a better response.

once again, are you his puppet? I'm sure the guy can speak for himself as he has done above.

you obviously do care about what i spent on my car,

since you made a stupid uneducated comment about what i "could" have spent the money on.

you show me a GTR i could have bought for less than 20K 4 years ago.

i know his wheels are worth big bucks, i never said they weren't made in Japan either.

i said there are better rims on the market that would complete the car a lot better.

I'm not saying he should have spent more or less either.

I'm saying the style isn't the greatest.

A set of 18" GTCs in gun grey or silver would IMO look shit loads better.

So like can we stop flaming and have more pics from the Summernats now?

specifically these so called JB Hifi girls?

oh

and any nice cars that happened to be there?

FAIL.

I like you nsanity, good idea. They were great quality. JB! You've done it again!

These girls were nice.

the one on the right is melissa! went to school with her..! Puberty does so much. :/

did you see those 2 girls pashing it up whilst driving round...nice

but yeh good weekend cant wait to do it again...

oh yeh sure did, on sat night the girl sitting behind was getting her scuds out, crowd was loving it. did'nt think she was gonna do it but she proved me wrong. id so hate to be a girl there though unless you really loved the attention and didnt mind whipping them out every 10 seconds

Summernats is not that bad for girls. I have taken my girlfriend the last few years and you always get a few comments but it really depends on where you go...

If you are in any car and female you will be asked to flash em

If you go past the VB stand you will be asked to flash em

If you go through some of the dodgier areas you will be asked to flash em

That still leaves a good 40% of the event you can go without being heckled and it’s not like you actually have to flash em :P

The heckling stops after the girls go past anyway and you dont have to flash if you dont want I didnt really hear any of the guys getting to upset if you didnt... as there were other girls going past that would lol

If you do go to summernats you have to ready to expect that kind of mentallity.

I dont mind it and I didnt get harrassed really....

Was that your Blue R32 parked behind the Dyno sheds on Saturday???

If it was its really nice and I was glad I got to see a really nice skyline at least once at the summernats

    • Even more fun, leave all the ADAS stuff plugged in, but in different locations, hopefully avoid any codes!   And honestly, all these new cars with their weird electronics. Pull all the electronics out Duncan, and just shove an aftermarket ECU and if needed a trans controller in, along with a PDM. Make it run basic but race car styled!
    • To follow up a question from earlier too since I had the front bar off again (fking!) This is what is between the bumper and the drivers side wheel And this is the navigator side, only one thing but its a biggy! So basically....no putting coolers in the wheel arches without a lot of moving other stuff. Assuming I move to properly race prepping this car I'll take that job on and see how the computers respond to removing a whole bunch of ADAS modules
    • So I prepped the car for another track day on Wednesday (will be interesting to see coolant temps post flushing out and the larger reservoir, with a forecast of 3-14 being 20o cooler than last time I took it out). Couple of things to mention; since I am just driving the car and not taking a support vehicle, I took the rear seats out and just loaded the back up Team Trackday style. Look at all that space! To cover off removing the rear seat....it is weird (note the hybrid is probably different because it wouldn't have folding rear seats) Basically, you remove the lower seat base, very similar to a r series but it is a clip that pulls forward to release the base rather than it being bolted down. Easy Then, you need to remove the side section of the rear seat on each side. There is a 14mm head nut at the bottom of the side piece, the it slides upwards off a hook at the top to release; you also need to unhook the seatbelt from the loop at the top. Then the centre piece is weird. You need to release/fold the seats forward with the tab in the boot on each side From there, there are 2,x12mm headed bolts holding the rear of each seat to the folding bracket, under the trim between the rear seat and the boot (4x christmas tree clips there, they suck). The seat is out but you can see where the bolts attach to the bracket
    • As discussed in the previous post, the bushes in the 110 needed replacing. I took this opportunity to replace the castor bushes, the front lower control arm, lower the car and get the alignment dialled in with new tyres. I took it down to Alignment Motorsports on the GC to get this work done and also get more out of the Shockworks as I felt like I wasn't getting the full use out of them.  To cut a very long story short, it ended up being the case the passenger side castor arm wouldn't accept the brand new bush as the sleeve had worn badly enough to the point you could push the new bush in by hand and completely through. Trying a pair of TRD bushes didn't fix the issue either (I had originally gone with Hardrace bushes). We needed to urgently source another castor arm, and thankfully this was sourced and the guys at the shop worked on my car until 7pm on a Saturday to get everything done. The car rides a lot nicer now with the suspension dialled in properly. Lowered the car a little as well to suit the lower profile front tyres, and just bring the car down generally. Eternally thankful for the guys down at the shop to get the car sorted, we both pulled big favours from our contacts to get it done on the Saturday.  Also plugged in the new Stedi foglights into the S15, and even from a quick test in the garage I'm keen to see how they look out on the road. I had some concerns about the length of the LED body and whether it'd fit in the foglight housing but it's fine.  I've got a small window coming up next month where I'll likely get a little paint work done on the 110 to remove the rear wing, add a boot wing and roof wing, get the side skirt fixed up and colour match the little panel on the tail lights so that I can install some badges that I've kept in storage. I'm also tempted to put in a new pair of headlights on the 110.  Until then, here's some more pictures from Easter this year.
    • I would put a fuel pressure gauge between the filter and the fuel rail, see if it's maintaining good fuel pressure at idle going up to the point when it stalls. Do you see any strange behavior in commanded fuel leading up to the point when it stalls? You might have to start going through the service manual and doing a long list of sensor tests if it's not the fuel system for whatever reason.
