Auto Passenger Window

hey guys. just wondering something. being an all or nothing kinda guy , i usually have my windows either fully up or fully down. now i noticed in the r33, the driver side window controls both windows. however only the driver's window is fully automated (ie. u press it and it winds down fully). now being lazy i find it a pain to have to hold down the passenger window button when driving, especially when eating at the same time or otherwise occupied. soo to get to the point, is it possible to swap the passenger control switch with a drivers type one and have both auto or is it more complicated than that.

It's more complicated than that, and I think there's already a thread or two on this topic. (or possibly even a DIY guide?)

Someone was looking into it with a relay in mind.

I dont know why car manufacturers design it this way? Maybe to save $2 on electronics???

My previous cars have been the same as my current 33 - Holden VN Calais, 2002 Toyota Celica...

Just for curiosities sake, 2003/2004 model prados have all 4 windows from the drivers side with auto. Ive always thought it was just the button, but i guess its more of a relay issue.

yeah so does my mum's corolla. the camry doesnt though which i find odd seeing as its a 2006 model

nope in that case it's a LOT more involved that that. the motors have the auto controls built into them.
