Over the last few days I have been giving serious thought as to what role I can play with in the club. I have already expressed to a few of you that I am highly enthusiastic about SAU, and really would love & enjoy e part of the clubs growth (and high quality, this is not a numbers game only).

I see the club as being a hub for :

- Track days

- Motorsport Events, be it spectating or racing

- Support organisation (not monitary) for those who wish to race or enter an event

- A social group who will hold regular functions

- A group who can be a voice to many institutions, such as insurance bodys, government, RTA and the police on many of the issues we all have.

I would be honored to be a part of the SAU "exec" team, and I believe that perhaps some new positions should be created to assist in the marketing and organisation of events, the collaboration of our efforts to reach goals etc.

I would of course be more than happy to be leader of the habibs.

OK, here goes. . .

I know Dino said he wasn't sure about the VP position, but I think that his contribution to the club has been outstanding to say the least. It would be very sad for SAU to lose him.

Therefore , I would like to nominate Dino for President.

/me runs and hides from Prank......... Dude, I still luv ya heaps, and I am not voting you off, just nominating Dino..........

I'll second Carlo if that has not already been done and I will second Dino, Again not as I don't think that Christian hasn't done a great job... the first year is always the hardest... but a bit of healthy competition never hurt anybody, right?

Thanks for the kind words guys. I accept.

My vision for the club is to be half as popular as the RX-7 guys are. Every suburb you drive through has a sign saying where and when the Rotary club meets. It's funny...because you don't see that many of them on the roads. :)

Guys, for a long time recently I've been lurking in the background following the progress of the NSW SAU club. I look forward to meeting you all on Sunday (and catching up with George and Michelle!) at the meeting where I'll become a paid up member...finally. (If I don't get paged into work)

Anyway, as a suggestion for a new position:

Member Recruitment Officer - This person develops methods to get the name of the club out there to get the most exposure and attract more members. Develop advertising for the club such as business cards for all paid members not with their name on it but with the club details. There is plenty for this person to do. They can also manage the membership database in close collaberation with Treasurer.

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
