Alarm Screwed !

i was just hosing some degreaser out of my engine bay , and i accidently hit my alarm siren . it has just started making some really weird sounds , like screatching and roaring . water must have gotten in the speaker ! i tried arming and disarming , and you couldnt hear anything , but weird sounds. now iv left it for a bit and it had gotten a bit better , im wondering could i replace the speaker in it? or is the whole thing f**kd?

replace the siren. the rest is fine. did I do it?

i just opened it up , looks like the circuit is blown - some things are burnt , looks like im going to need a whole need siren .

anyone have any idea how much this would cost? or if i could use a different siren from another alarm unit?

not cheap. I keep them and have one here. lesson learned?

yes indeed lol . i just looking in jay car , and they have the siren sold by itself - so i should be right to just hook that 1 up hopefully .

do you think that will be safe to do? the one in jay car has 4 cables comming from it aswell as the one in my car .

I would use the proper one myself but its up to you. that sirem has 3 wires on it. +12 , trigger,gnd.
