depends what sort of area u want and how much ur willing to pay for rent etc.... im bout 15mins from surfers.

yeah well im looking for a house around 300kto 350k ish, i was like at kingston and daisy hill, like 40 50 mins from surfers, any good?

im after some place theres less trouble n newer area n stuff, coz i dont wanna no cornulla riots n shit while im there, coz im sick of everyone in syd lol be honest.

or even to rent or share an apartment where located at surfers or near.

i guess theres plenty of options to chose from lol

ummmm depends i was looking at houses in the same sort of area eagleby beenleigh tanah merah cornubia those places sort of didnt appeal its got alot of bogans and trouble.... for that sort of money u can sort of buy in coomera ormeau pacific pines area which IMO are good areas.coomera is booming reallllyyyy fast.when u coming up ? should sort of have a look or show u around some places if u want..so u can get an idea of the areas and whats around.. sort of between bris n goldy its sort of still not very devolped im sort of north gold coast and i love it i sort of though twice about moving up closer to brisbane... but if u want to sort of see whats around ill help ya out..

well i'm from loganlea and its really not that bad, everyone disses the southside of brisbane but its got more going for it than the northside IMO - I have springwood and the hyperdome, aswell as at least 5 large commercial areas only a short drive down the road, never ever any planes flying over your house etc.. only a short drive to the gold coast, and house prices are at least reasonable..

yeah thanks for the reply guys. im think of either mid this year or late this year, coz i wanna do a fitness degree first, before i move down, although i also wanna do hospitallity too lol, how are the job oppotunitys there? like not labour n anything, not not white collared, coz im working behind the bar atm, and also promo for several syd night clubs n stuff, so yeah...

well im off to work, ill come back tomrw sometimes check up on the thread.

big cheers..

in my opinion, the sunshine coast has nicer beaches and has more retirees, whilst the gold coast has more tourists and more cops that hate import drivers...

but then again, the gold coast is closer to brisbane if you plan on living within access to the city

but if you are going to live inner city, i'll still have to put my balls behind the northside :P

i live on the sunny coast, i like it better then goldy aswelll to live.

but my suggestion is to come up, rent a place for 6 months, have a look around then buy in a area where u like, u will be able to travel to the goldy area and up to sunnshien coast noosa with ease and even stay a weekend in each area over 6 month period.

should work out ok for you if u do it that way i think.

yeah.. i was thinking of doing that too, rent a place for a few, settle for jobs n stuff, then shop around for houses.

anyone skyliners looking for ppl to move in with :) :)

northside of brisbane sux dongs

shitty roads, no decent computar stores, no freeway

southside is where its at

Im not going to get into the which is best or worst...

Its simple, find a job. Get the name of the suburb and them look for a place near where you work...

Simple...

I work mostlly on the northside and that where my family is at so therefore I live on the northside...

Personally i think Sunshine coast has better waves than the Goldcoast and far more communities to visit. (Noosa, Maroochydore, Coolum, Calundra, Kawana, Pelican Waters)

Tip tho, the city is on the north side of the river, so if you want to work in the city move northside cause as soon as there is an accident or a bridge closure your screwed... So on that basis Northside FTW...

Down side tho is the average flat, town house, house and land are all higher average cost than the southside...

    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
    • Can I suggest you try EBC directly again and link them to as many competitor catalogues as you can to show their listing is incorrect, eg https://dba.com.au/product/front-4000-series-hd-brake-rotor-dba42304/ If you have access to an R33 GTST VIN and your VIN, you could also use a Nissan Parts lookup like Amayama to show them the part number is different between 33 GTST and 34 GTT which may get their attention
    • So i got reply from EBC and they just this site where you can clearly see those 296mm fronts on R34 GTT. I send them photos and "quotes" that 296mm are not for 34 GTT and they are too small. But it will be very hard to return them cuz nobody here knows 100% and they just copy those EBC catalogue :-D https://ebcbrakesdirect.com/automotive/nissan/skyline-r34
