Hey guys, i am currently on my P's and live in victoria, and i know it's illegal to drive a turbo'd 33, is it however illegal to drive a turbo'd 33 on an adelaide or ACT or tasmanian, or NSW licence? if so, is it possible to go to one of these places, and transfer the licence into one of theres? or is there re-testing required, bla bla bla

Thanks for your help.

NSW is illegal also...not 100% sure about the others thou. To get a licence in another state you need proof of residency in that state which has to be something linked to that address i.e. water/electricity/gas bill, rental contract, purchase recept/contract, rates bill etc etc. The states all got together and changed the law recently so youcan now no longer used a "proof" that has a changeable address like a phone bill, bank statement etc etc as to cut down on people getting interstate licences when they aren't authorised for one.

Basically, that wont circumvent the law. There is no way to get around it

You are not allowed to drive on an interstate licence if you've been (permanently) living in another state for more than 3months

So in 4 months, if you did say... get a ACT one, you could be fined etc if an officer pulled you over.
