For Sale is my Project - KE 1989 TX3 4WD Turbo Laser. Car is not registered.

This car is an ex rally / race car. It has welded & strengthened seams. Mounts for roll cage. etc - Fully kitted out for rally / race. Also has front and rear strut braces. Mounts for race harness and comes with harness kit (not new, not installed). This car handles like a cart !

I have started it's transformation but need completion now as I am going O/S/

1.6L turbo engine has just had new Excedy 3 puck racing clutch fitted. Engine runs well and is in car - but need gearbox links, throttle cables and wiring up. The car comes with a old Haltech Fuel only ECU - but would recommend replacing with a newer Fuel & Ignition ECU as the Haltech is no longer supported and getting the tuning software has proved to be difficult. Engine runs perfect and compression is a uniform 160 accross all cylinders. A variety of Pod filters comes with the package.

The engine has bigger injectors - Custom Dump and Big straight thru exhaust (no cat)

The turbo has been stripped, cleaned and polished. No shaft play at all - Also comes with a spare turbo.

Suspension has been replaced by me as it had a bent front strut. Full race spec K-Sport inverted coil overs have been fitted to the front - I have the rear coil overs but haven't fitted them. The suspension is brand new and cost me $2,500. Old suspension comes with the package.

I have replaced all suspension rubbers at the front along with tie rod ends and control arms with new items - New sway bar links bushes. The front sway bar is a massive 30mm job and the rear suspension has been worked for racing.

Engine mounts are all good - had to replace one with a new one. Crossmember rubber have been replaced with new one.

Basically, when I took the engine out - if anything was worn or broken, I replaced with new items.

Front and rear discs have been replaced by new DBA slotted rotors - Fronts are fitted - Rears are not - but come with the package. Brake pads are good - comes with a new set of rear pads. Brake system has fully braided lines and has brake bias control (front / rear). Handbrake is Hydrolic.

Front wheel bearings have been replaced & repacked with new ones. All CV joints have been inspected and re-packed.

Car has racing seats installed which are a bit old - but I have new seats (not installed) available. (extra $300)

Wheels are polished Simmons all around - Tyres are good condition.

Car has been re-sprayed a few times which you can notice - Engine bay has been cleaned and re-sprayed.

I have spent over $5.5K on the car so far - and it won't take much to get into race condition.

Car will need to be towed as engine not completely hooked up and car is not registered.

I was thinking of stripping and selling the individual bits as I would get a lot more $$ this way- but basically I can't be stuffed - so if you want a bargain - Give us a call.

Price - Offers over $2,500

    • Hi...so a "development" here aswell The swap is "done" and car went "test drive" BUT it seems the clutch(maybe gearbox?) is a little bit sad? I bought this clutch kit https://justjap.com/products/xtreme-heavy-duty-organic-clutch-flywheel-kit-nissan-skyline-r31-r32-r33-push-type "Problem" is that the first gear is hard to put into and it seems that the clutch is not disengaged. It was not the problem with the old clutch...(or like sometime the first gear would not get as easy specialy when the fluid was cold) So? Can it be like...bad "install" or is the clutch wrong ((it should not have been) i done research to get the right one) Or is this "normal" with new clutch and needs to be break in?
    • @Duncan I can try  and thanks i did not thought about VIN and part numbers for 33/34. @GTSBoy yeah it looks like iam gonna do that
    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
