Hi all as a newcomer to the site and a new gtr owner I'de like to thank you all for contributing to this site as it has been most helpful. I have searched and read alot on this subject but find my self still unsure what brakes to put on my R32 gtr ?.

I Currently have standard 296/32 mm rotors and standard calipers.

The car will be used for the occasional weekend drive but predominently in sprint events.

So far i have worked out from this site that DBA 4000 crack ? $440 the pair. DBA 5000 the alloy centre will warp? $470 Ea. and RDA has good rap but unsure which part to fit.

And could any one tell me what is the largest disc i can use with 16in rims.

Pads seem to be Hawk 9 or DS 3500 for track or ds2500 for road Track.

the best fluid seem to be RBF 600 is this a motul product ?.

If you could shed some light on this subject it would be greatly appreciated either on the above products or somthing better $ an issue would like to keep upgrade to less than 1500 in parts . just want to stop after more than 5 laps of winton.

If it has to be a 16" rim then that makesd things pretty easy.

Grab some R34GTT calipers and rotors. They use 310mm rotor, and the caliper has the same piston size as the R32 GTR caliper.

The R34 GTT caliper uses a slightly larger mounting bolt and requires the hub be drilled out.

But without going to expensive aftermarket calipers which are slimmer then the std nissan stuff....where i have seen 330mm rotord fit inside the 16" R32 GTR rim...you are restricted to a 310mm rotor.

Tyres are more expensive...but an upgrade to 17" could be worth it from a traction and brakign standpoint. 17" rubber will also be more durable on a car as big and heavy as a GTR at the track

Thanks for the info will give it a go. Can i use the R32 calipers and only use the 310mm disc to save drilling out the hub ?. I am trying to Keep the car as stock as possible hence the

16s.
