what comes with the engine ? is manifolds and turbo provided with injectors and coils etc etc

Thanks

sorry my bad

Its a long motor all the manifolds are being used on the new motor may come with the coils have to see whats on the motor when it gets here in the morning will let u know but at the moment its a bare long motor

The car was put upto 16 psi and now it gone down to 90psi so it may be the headgasket but i have a worked motor to put in that i got at the right price so im not gana bother with it.

i know they sell for more but im after a quick sale there isnt any oil in the water and the oil is cream so yeah hard to say. But it is still running in the car on low boost runs sweet still so it can be seen running in the car in newy if sombody is keen cheers

dont talk shit, it wouldn't be the head gasket if only one cylinder has low comp. its not a bigg daddy truck where each cylinder has its own head gasket haha

1 wat to find out what it is pull the head off could be a burnt valve leaking valve could be anything but all i know is its still running fine in the car

of course it's possible, each cylinder has a round ring that seals the two mated surfaces(head to block),if you break the integrity of the ring it allows leakage of compression on that cylinder....the other sealed cylinders are unnaffected.(this i know from experience by the way)

it is possible that the piston ring may be cracked, you can exclude this by squirting some oil in the spark plug hole and immediately doing a compression test,if the compression goes up the chances are it's a piston/ring problem

it is possible that the compression is leaking into the water jacket via the headgasket, would get worse with more boost, may show up by overheating, pressurising the cooling system, rough idle on start up first thing in the morning(water leaks into the cylinder overnight and fouls the plug)

if it's a small leak it is unlikely to account for a big drop in compression, best way is to test it with an S-TEK tester that is very sensitive to carbon monoxide in the coolant(even if there are no symptoms),costs about $80 from auto parts store eg coventrys

if its a burnt valve you may hear it popping from the exhaust on heavy decelleration

obviously head off is the best diagnostic route, but the above would take less than 1/2 hour to perform and give some indication of the problem

good luck with the sale

    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
    • Fair enough, I am in no way a tire expert so I'm not familiar with all the terms and conditions. I'll definitely note down the AD09 to potentially try in the future. Rain is not too big of a concern for now as I will probably only drive in the rain when I have to. And considering I still lack experience driving the GTR I'd more than likely take it easy too. I have coilovers in the car but as I barely got to drive so far I never bothered to even check if they are adjustable haha. The suspension is almost entirely old and worn as well so I suppose when I eventually fix that in the future that would make a huge difference.
    • There's not a great deal to report here .... except ...... FOR .... LSD!!!  I bought a Quaife LSD from the UK and shipped it here .... Wish I'd just bought locally cause the shipping and duty was $700! But there were so many diffs used in the E90s I just wanted to be absolutely certain I was getting the right one so I spoke with a supplier in the UK who builds race cars and they have heaps of experience with the E90s.  I pulled the diff out which was seriously awesome - I've never done anything like that before, I must have watched 1000 videos on YT about it as well as consulting the Bentley manual. It was super easy in the end. The diff was delivered to the awesome folks at Hornsby Diffs and will be back in a few weeks. I also replaced the diff bushings with some Nolathane ones.  Really looking forward to getting it back and getting back to the track or even the skidpan.
    • yeah... the 13kg/mm springs weren't always in there, I had 10kg/mm but doing a few SMSP commanded heavier front springs. It's so good now going into T1 and T2, just need more seat time and real tyres.
