Might be one of the rare ones? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> There not piston oil squirters.. They squirt a little oil on the load side of the bore. Check the rb30 guide for a pic of piston crown oil squirters. platinum
I need to find the bloke who stated the rb30et blocks have oil squirters... Thread was around here some where. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah I saw that thread too, but they definatly don't - only way is if someone has put them in afterwards. Cubes
Always worth double checking... I haven't had the opportunity to check out a turbo block in the flesh. Is yours up and running yet? platinum
Yeah, I have an ET block floating around here somewhere actually. But anyway, I actually called up boostworx today, if only I could find some s2 coilpacks or an S1 loom I'd be in business almost. Pretty much taking it down there next week anyway, with the instructions not to call me until its running because I'm sick of seeing it. Got almost everything else bolted up and ready to go, just have to finish off the last min. bits over the weekend (finish relocating the battery and put the steering column back in hehe!). Craved
does the RB30 allow for use of the factory oil cooler from the RB25? if you dont want to run it are there any things you need to do to allow the external coolers sandwich plate to bolt to the block without leaking? Bl4cK32
i fitted teh rb20 oil filter sandwich (std. one) and the filter leaked. I then just had the filter screwed straight to the block, and it doesnt leak, go figure Use a good gasket compound to stop it leaking i spose. Craved
so with the filter direct to the block i does have issues with the thread being too long? havent pulled apart the std oil cooler to see if it runs its own separate thread for the filter or not. Cubes
You don't have to mod anything.. Just screw the filter up as the vl and r31 boys/gals do. [200]
GT30's too small... I was hoping the small a/r on the 3037 would make up for it, I guess not. Cubes
GT30's fine providing you are chasing the power level and power delivery characteristics the GT30 provides. [200]
If I cannot sort out a set of good twins than I would more than likely go for a GT42 or maybe GT45.
