have you got pictures of it installed?

you replaced the std one with the aftermarket one and hooked up the air line from the plenum to the BOV?

was it a plumb back type or atmo? if atmo make sure you block the std BOV's return pipe

its a atmo.. i bolted on the adapter... then clamped on the bov to the adapter.. then i clamped on the thin pipe from the engine to the bov.. the other pipe i just block off with some tape as i was just checking to see if it worked and i didnt have anythin else to use.. should i remove that whole pipe and block it off where it starts? and if so should i use a grommet or what? is this all i have to do or am i doing something wrong?

i wil try and get a pic of what i did but i need to get a hold of a digi camera first as mine got lost.

doesnt matter where the pipe is blocked off, as long as it is air tight....

try lossening any adjustment on the BOV , do you know that it worked before you got it, it might be faulty

i bought it brand new... so it should work.. i wil try it again tomorow... whats a good thing to use to block of the hole? grommets? and does it matter if your car is auto or manual?

block teh hole, well that depends on where you do it, if you block it at the end of the steel pipe, then pop down to clark rubber and use a rubber chair leg stopper that fits, then just hose clamp it on.

here is a pic of how i have set it up... still need to put clamps on and stuff but just to give u a idea.. does that look right... (I know the pipe isnt blocked off)

yeah looks correct, there looks to be a gasket under that adapter.. it has a hole in the middle right? just to state the obvious :laugh:

if that has a twist top for adjustment, loosen it off as it might be too tight for the boost your running.

have you tried taking the bov off and pushing the plunger up to make sure it works?

also, not too familiar with rb20s but is the vacuum hose you have it connected to actually a vacuum hose? is it connected to the intake manifold?

gasket has a hole.. and im prity sure its all connected right.. i have tried it with the pipe blocked of.. but all i used was some tape as i has nothing else at the time.. the blue hose is just a silicon hose that i got from a kit.. i can twist the end of my BOV to hard or soft.. should it be on hard or soft for a r32 standard boost?

ok ive put it all in and done everything... its making a noise but its not a " PSSSSSST" noise its more of a " POOOHHH" noise lol

tighten the bov up abit. also make sure the factory return is blocked off nice, i know turbosmart sell plugs or you can make something fit :(

yeah i just used a coke bottle lid to plug mine when i changed it. :sorcerer:

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!

    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
