Running Less Boost, Is It Bad?

Hi, i have a r33 s2 capable of running 10psi+. It has full 3"exhaust,huge fmic,air intake etc.. I used to have it running 10psi but now i put it down to 7psi and the car seems much more sluggish and won't boost as well.

Feels like the car is struggling to use more power because it stops boosting to a point then nothing, is it best to put it up to 10+psi again, because it felt much smoother when it was higher for some reason?

i only reduced it because it was getting lots of wheelspin lol, even with 255/40/17s .

haha yeah i will man, i'm just wondering why the car feels more rough when i put the boost down, weird...

It's fine to run low boost. You must have pretty crap tyres to wheel spin it with only 10 psi on stock turbo.

Control wheelspin with your foot, and save up for some new DECENT tyres.

i reckon half of it will be you just being use to more power, then dropping boost down, the car feels sluggy.

^^ true it's a manual boost controller, so maybe it could be leaking....cheers i'll check that out!

they are federal tyres on the rear, but yeah might get some decent tyres

yea, my car feels smoother when i put the boost up, coz it also boosts earlier, that could be what ur experiencing

might be, maybe the skyline wants more boost....it's a sign haha

yeah might put it up, just don't want it to go Rich n retard mode.
