After seeing that real R34 GTR rear spoilers go for 75,000yen and up (yahoo auctions, and not including the cost of getting it here)... i was wondering if anyone in oz makes replica ones?

carmate does, but they make the Nismo, high version. Does any make replica's of the standard GTR rear spoiler? preferably a two piece item...

or anyone know of o.s. companies to get these from?

cheers,

daniel

i'm keen on a multiple piece one if possible. So the main horizontal wing part, the angle adjustable bit, and the struts....

what the fudge is it with honda's in the U.S. and R34 Skyline parts!!! :laugh:

OK I'm pretty sure I can organize the following:

R34GTR OEM Rear Spoiler (copy)

* 4 piece construction (2 stands, 2 wings)

* Bottom wing and stands made from FG

* Top Wing Blade made from CF

* Top Wing Blade Adjustable

Probably looking at $500 + delivery or pickup from Sydney. Supplier is a local distributor; not sure who their supplier is nor have I seen a sample for quality purposes.

i used to make a few in SA and i think autobarn Mile end (my old shop) still has the moulds, if not im sure we sent a couple to unique autosports and they moulded a couple.

^ yeah, i asked about them a few years back now... i think you said your particular moulds had deviated a little, so you'd stopped making them at that time...

i've seen unique with them, but it was like a special, and i asked about it and they said they only had one. That was snapped up after a while. But this wa a loooooooong time ago :woot:

OK I have official details of the product in terms of pricing... it'll be $550 each but I can have this price reduced to $500 each if we get 5 people on it.

Being a large item; I didn't even bother asking what the price would be for 10 :)

I'll set up a GB thread if you guys are interested...

damn it! i thought that link i found was in GBP! (pounds) it's in US dollars! $130 + $100 shipping, that's about $300 AUD :(

that's quite cheap... top blade isn't CF like satanics one though... CF would be much cooler. I'm a little short on the $$ at the mo, so still have a bit more time to figure this out...

i just thought the struts looked a little different to standard, but after finding some pics of a real one, they do seem the same. Might just be the angle they're taken on.

damn it, that spoiler is sooo much cheaper than i thought. Which is a good thing, but makes the decision a bit harder.

how keen are you Forged?

Best thing about this spoiler is that its made in Japan so I have more confidence in its quality and of course an fairly reasonable price.

However I still would prefer the carbon top wing version. In fact I have made an enquire to SRS auto (pick up from where satanic has left) to see how much an individual order would cost, they said something about $600 plus for the carbon version but pending email confirmation. If it end up costing more than $500 then I will definitely give the ebay copy a try.

    • Absolute f*cking nightmare. I had to take breaks constantly, and I was always pissed off when I got home. The line split in Italy on day 2 (we drove from the Netherlands), lol. Driving any narrow European town was... well, sh*t.   Appreciate it man. Here, I'll just drop a favourite from the load I took on Saturday.   I'll update here when things happen with the car, the thing is, with stock power and almost everything chassis-wise taken care of, there really are no problems. 268,000kms now and counting.
    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
